00:00Let's pivot now here, all my exes live in Texas, that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee.
00:09It's a great lyric and it means a lot, so let's go to Tennessee and talk to the Titans.
00:14The quarterback plays is really where the conversation needs to start.
00:18What is it going to be and how is it going to impact everything else, Joe?
00:22Inconsistent, I think that's the kind way of putting it.
00:25I was not a Will Levis guy coming out of college, I could just not see what other people saw.
00:29The arm strength is there, so he's got that.
00:32He could go 30-30.
00:33Of all the quarterbacks, Will Levis is one, that's basically it.
00:37Well, you know in baseball we get excited when a guy goes 30-30, right?
00:41Will Levis has 30-30 in him too, 30 interceptions, 30 touchdowns, it's possible.
00:47Could look a lot more like the Jameis Winston seasons in Tampa than anything else.
00:52So I think there's going to be a lot of good and bad.
00:54In super flex leagues, I'd rather have Baker Mayfield, I'd rather have Geno Smith, I'd
00:58rather make sure I take care of my business then than wait for Will Levis.
01:02Tony Pollard and Tajay Spears, this is the interesting thing, is this backfield.
01:05I think this backfield is going to resemble a fair amount, a lesser version of what the
01:11Cowboys backfield looked like in the past, which was Tony Pollard, you know, getting
01:16all the passing down work and kind of being the dynamic back and then somebody else rushing
01:20in touchdowns.
01:21Now they went out there and they paid Tony Pollard, so I do like to follow the money
01:24typically.
01:25But Tajay Spears I think showed you a lot last year.
01:27Pollard, however, right now is being drafted as the RB26 off the board.
01:31You could do a lot worse than Tony Pollard as your third running back, as your flex RB.
01:35I think that's actually a pretty good investment because if I'm the Tennessee Titans coach,
01:39and I'm not, but if I was, I want to make sure I'm running the football, freeing up
01:44Will Levis to not make too many mistakes.
01:46I think that's what I'm looking for.
01:48And even within that really good scenario in Dallas where he was still splitting carries,
01:55he still finished as RB7 two years ago and RB15 last year.
01:59And I think last year we didn't pay enough attention to him returning from that surgery.
02:04I think that surgery really kind of hung him up.
02:06Now Tony Pollard, hopefully another year healthier, removed from that surgery.
02:10Now we're looking for him to get back on track.
02:13I think he's a decent enough investment, Tajay Spears on the other hand, another investment
02:17too that I think in those standard leagues comes at a really good discount.
02:20And I would be taking him once again, a scenario where if Tony Pollard gets hurt, Tajay Spears
02:25has a lot more upside.
02:26So those are the kinds of shots you'd like to take it running back.
02:29And I keep coming back to that same conversation.
02:31This is why I like the early wide receiver builds because they're shot here in the middle
02:34for a lot of running back value.
02:36DeAndre Hopkins is going way too late in drafts.
02:39I went from being out on DeAndre Hopkins to buying back in because he keeps just lasting
02:43over and over again, way too far.
02:46He's going to be playing week one, folks.
02:47I don't know what we're freaking out about.
02:49Yeah, he's old.
02:50Yeah, it could all fall apart.
02:51But come on, man, wide receiver, 45, come on, man, it's DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley.
02:57That's the one that's going to be a tougher sell, I think.
03:00Last year was a disappointing year.
03:01Can he ever bounce back and be the player he was?
03:03I don't know.
03:04Chigga Conquo, good in theory, not good in practice.
03:08Looks like he's going to be splitting time a tight end too.
03:10That's not what you want to hear.
03:11And then Tyler Boyd, that last piece.
03:13But the Spears Pollard situation is interesting.
03:16Spears at 35, RB 35 or Tony Pollard at RB 26.
03:21Who would you prefer to be drafting?
03:22Here's the thing, it's name value.
03:24You're going to poll 12 fantasy managers, depending on your league, how many of them
03:27are going to actually know who Spears is versus the name recognition of Tony Pollard.
03:32And just to button up the conversation the way I started, I think that the receiver room
03:36is veterans, all veterans that know this game.
03:39I think they can actually make Will Loveless better.
03:42But all that remains to be seen, Joe.
03:44This has been fun, man.
03:45You did a great job as always, bud.
