West Street Sheffield: Barriers installed on party street in the interest of safety

Barriers have been installed on West Street in Sheffield as a senior councillor has said "safety is paramount".

A narrow path outside popular bars meant revellers were spilling onto the streets when they congregated outside the venues.

Following deliberations at the council, police have erected temporary barriers, blocking off parking bays and widening the path.
