Transcript
00:00Hi I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and today is GCSE results day. A head
00:06teacher at a college in Lancashire sent us a video offering advice to those
00:10who don't receive the GCSE results they want today. So watch on for her words of
00:15wisdom. I'm Fernoula Swan, Vice Principal at
00:18Nelson and Colne College Group. If your GCSE results aren't what you expected
00:23please don't panic. There is a course for you at college. You can come and enrol
00:28because there will be a course for you that can lead you to the career that you
00:32really want to get. You may be worried for example that you haven't passed your
00:37GCSE English and Maths at a grade four or above because they really are
00:41instrumental subjects that most universities and employers want. But you
00:46can re-sit your GCSE English and Maths with our excellent English and Maths
00:50team and you will have a really really good chance of getting that grade four
00:55or above by the end of your first year or if not second year at college. So I
01:01would really like to just emphasise again that you don't need to panic. No
01:07matter what your GCSE results are there will be a course that is suitable for
01:12you and most important thing is that you get some advice about what the career is
01:18that you want and we'll find a route for you to get there.
