00:00A house was set on fire in a barangay in Quezon City earlier this evening.

00:04Let's hear from James Agustin.

00:06The fire is so big!

00:08It's so big!

00:10This is how big the fire that woke up the residents of Yusafe Road in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City last evening.

00:17The fire spread quickly to the nearby houses made of light materials.

00:22The first alarm was raised to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

00:24Their firetruck was in a shambles.

00:27Fire volunteers were also involved.

00:29It took almost 30 minutes for the fire to completely go out.

00:32According to the resident, June, they were shocked when the fire got bigger.

00:36They were only able to save a few items and clothes.

00:39They were shouting that it was on fire.

00:41But when we saw that it was already big, we didn't have a chance to do anything.

00:46We just saved the children.

00:48There were children there.

00:54They are very thankful that they were able to save seven children.

00:58That's how it is, sir.

00:59It's hard. We have nothing to do.

01:02It's important that we were not injured.

01:05The resident, Michael, was injured in his leg.

01:09He jumped with his wife from the window of their burning house.

01:13They were not able to save a single item.

01:15They were shouting that it was on fire.

01:19When my wife opened the door, the fire was already there.

01:22I jumped with my wife and my children.

01:26I threw them out of the window.

01:29According to the residents, almost seven houses were burned.

01:32Twelve families were affected.

01:34Meanwhile, they continue to the covered court of the barangay,

01:37where modular tents were built.

01:40The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire and the overall significance of the incident.
