00:00Forty-one men who tested positive for Mpox were referred to a spot dermatology clinic in Quezon City.

00:10Twenty-eight of them were quarantined due to a higher chance of contracting the disease.

00:20In Quezon City, 33-year-old men who tested positive for Mpox were referred to a spot dermatology clinic in Quezon City.

00:27According to the local government, the man is not a QC, but after he got infected on August 8,

00:33he went to a spa on Rodriguez Avenue on August 11.

00:38On August 15, he went to a dermatology clinic in Luzon.

00:43The patient was able to see skin lesions on the face, arms, back, and other parts of the body.

00:49When the doctor saw this, he immediately coordinated with the barangay to transport the patient to RITM and get a specimen.

01:00Last week, a positive test result for Mpox was released.

01:04In the contact tracing, 41 close contacts of the patient were referred to.

01:09Ten were referred to a spa.

01:11Twenty-seven were other clients of the spa.

01:14Four were possibly infected.

01:17Only three of the ten employees are from Quezon City.

01:20Four clients out of 27 are from Quezon City.

01:24The patient is high-risk because he has multiple sexual partners.

01:28The doctor who checked the patient is on PPE.

01:31We cannot consider him a high-risk close contact.

01:35Twenty-eight of the close contacts are type 1 or have a higher chance of contracting the disease,

01:40so they are in home quarantine until September 1.

01:43This is the masseur who massaged the patient and the other clients who were exposed to the patient.

01:49None of them had any exhibiting symptoms at this time.

01:54The symptoms of Mpox are skin lesions, fever, headache, body aches, and a rash or lymph nodes.

02:02If it comes out, he needs to be isolated.

02:05He needs to avoid using linen, towels, etc.

02:16He should not be allowed to use them.

02:18He needs intimate close contact to be protected.

02:22The spa where the patient went was closed because the mayor's permit expired

02:27and there is no sanitary permit, environmental clearance, and fire inspection certificate.

02:33The President has ordered agencies to continue to monitor Mpox,

02:38especially for people who are vulnerable to the disease.

02:41The Health Department is ready to treat Mpox.

02:45The World Health Organization first raised the Global Public Health Emergency

02:49due to the outbreak of Mpox in the Congo,

02:51where more than 1,000 people have been infected since 2023.
