01:32And I remember August 21, 1983, they went home.

01:37My father was with Uncle Ninoy in the van where Uncle Ninoy's body was.

01:44So my mother and two brothers went home.

01:47And I have a core memory of his face at the door of our house.

01:53How long his face was, and the feeling that Uncle Ninoy was already dead.

01:59Everyone here, all of us here, has an August 21, 1983 memory.

02:04I hope we don't forget to tell that story to our friends, relatives, children, grandchildren.

02:14Let's not get tired of telling that story, because it's a story that every Filipino should know.

02:21When young people ask me, did Ninoy die because he was killed?

02:28I say, no, that's not the reason why he was a hero.

02:33He was a hero because he chose to go home, he chose to be alone in the country.

02:39He chose a peaceful, peaceful life in America to be alone with us.
