The second season of Ryan Murphy's 'Monsters' series is finally getting a release date. This next installment in Murphy and Ian Brennan's true-crime anthology will follow the well-known case of real-life brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menendez.

00:09This next installment in Murphy and Ian Brennan's true crime anthology will follow the well-known

00:24The synopsis reads,
00:25While the prosecution argued they were seeking to inherit their family fortune, the brothers
00:30claimed, and remain adamant to this day, as they serve life sentences without the possibility
00:34of parole, that their actions stemmed out of fear from a lifetime of physical, emotional
00:39and sexual abuse at the hands of their parents.
00:42Newcomers Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch portray brothers Lyle and Eric, while
00:47Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny star as their parents, Jose and Kitty.
00:51Murphy's The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story will release on Netflix September 19.
00:56The first monster installment revolved around Jeffrey Dahmer, played by Evan Peters, and
01:00launched in 2022 on Netflix.
01:03After that series became a monster hit, the streamer ordered two more installments and
01:07turned the series into an anthology that will tell, quote, stories of other monstrous figures
01:12who have impacted society.
