We got news yesterday from Mike McCarthy that rookie lineman Cooper Beebe is going to be getting 1st team reps at center in the next few practices. Why is he getting those reps now over Brock Hoffman? Bryan Broaddus joins Shan & RJ live from Oxnard to discuss that, today's joint practice with the Rams, and more.

00:00Brian, that was something yesterday that felt like it came a little bit out of nowhere where
00:20Mike McCarthy just, you know, kind of stepped up and said, yep, Cooper BB, we've been really
00:24impressed with him. In fact, he's getting first team reps. It's odd because Mike McCarthy
00:29is not the type who will usually answer a direct question about personnel or depth chart
00:32for so for him to just volunteer it in the middle of an answer I thought was interesting.
00:36But when you you see that move or that decision, do you think we've got a real competition
00:41now with Brock Hoffman? And is that more about BB? Or is it more about Hoffman?
00:46You know, I think that it is probably more about BB. And there were some, some struggles
00:52very early in this camp, with some of the some of the snaps, excuse me, early morning
00:58cough in here. But yeah, the there was some trouble with the snaps early in the camp.
01:02There was some trouble with his technique, there was trouble with snap step, engage,
01:07you know, those kinds of things. He's gotten much better at it, the work that he has, you
01:12know, the snaps don't seem to be a problem. When you watch the tape of him playing in
01:17the game, his ability with the one on one blocks was good. His help with with the various
01:23schemes that they had going, he missed one block back that cost him a negative play.
01:29But then he also had a, they had a twist on where he was just a little late identifying
01:33the twister coming around and he was trying to help but he just couldn't quite get there.
01:38But other than that, he's been pretty pinpoint, you know, with like I say, the snaps, and
01:43then the this functioning as a center in the reps that he's been able to get.
