00:00Well, I don't swim, I dive, but when I was 7 I saw someone jump off a diving board and
00:17I thought that looks like fun and I wanted to give it a go.
00:21Paris 2024 was so special for me, it was my, you know, it felt like a bonus year because
00:28I took two years off after Tokyo and then I didn't know when I came back whether I
00:31would get in the synchro team, whether I'd qualify for Team GB, let alone come away with
00:35a silver medal.
00:36So I'm so, so happy and to have been able to do it in front of my friends and family
00:39and my kids, it was just really, really special.
00:41For Team GB, like what I know in diving for sure, we've had the most successful diving
00:46event that we've ever had, winning medals, female medals, for the first time in 64 years
00:52we won a medal in every single synchro event.
00:54We actually won more medals than swimming, which is a big, big, well the same amount
00:58of medals as swimming, which is a big thing for us in the sport of diving because we're
01:02always the ones that are trying to catch up to them, so now to be able to be on par with
01:06five medals each, I think it's, you know, I'm really excited to see where British diving
01:09goes.
01:10Next four years, who knows, who knows what athletes are going to be qualifying, who knows
01:13which athletes are going to be in shape, but the nice thing is being able to go into LA
01:1828, there's another four years of training, another four years of ups, downs, highs, lows,
01:22whatever it takes and, you know, Team GB are always going to have some heartbreaks
01:27and they're always going to have some amazing triumphs and I think that's just sport.
