00:00As an Olympian, as a former NBA player, what is one thing that you've used to anchor with
00:06your experience, that you've used to anchor yourself in this job, and one thing that you
00:10had to throw away and say, hey, it doesn't work with this generation of basketball players?
00:13Well, you know, every generation is different.
00:15And I think taking the time to try to understand this generation, I mean, I have kids that
00:21are, you know, close in age to some of these players, certainly has served me well.
00:26But, you know, I think, like anything, it's patience.
00:30Sometimes you have an idea of what works, and then you figure out that, OK, maybe this
00:36doesn't work.
00:37So patience, being able to adjust and adapt, those are attributes that I think I've learned
00:44to do a better job of exhibiting.
00:48And in terms of things that I've had to kind of let go of, I mean, I just collect and add,
00:53you know, add to.
00:54I do think, though, my collection of experiences, both as an athlete, as an Olympian, but also
01:01a businessman, a leader, have served me well and helped prepare me for the role and responsibility
01:07that I have.
