00:00To what extent should we use the past as a metric, as a benchmark for comparison?
00:04See, the purpose of life is betterment, improvement. You want to learn and grow each passing day and
00:12ultimately be liberated of everything that's not worth keeping, right? That's how life is,
00:18and that's how life ought to be spent in learning and freeing oneself of bondages.
00:25And life is time. Life, as we know it, is a series of moments. So obviously a comparison with the
00:31past has to be made. How do you know that you are better off today? How do you know you are moving
00:36in the right direction? So you need to look at yourself as you were a while back and ask yourself,
00:41am I any better off? For life to be new and fresh, for something creative and groundbreaking to
00:50happen, you must learn from your mistakes and be better than your former self. That's the only way one can improve.
