Clear for most of the UK at the start of the morning but grey skies for the south and showers in Scotland. Hot and humid air arrives in the UK from the south and it will be sunny for most of the country with early morning cloud fading away. Monday sees temperatures that are even higher with thundery showers for Scotland.

00:00Good morning, well it's going to be feeling warmer out there today with plenty of sunny
00:05spells on offer and then a bit of a breakdown for some of us on Monday. But having a look
00:10at the bigger picture and things will be settled as we've got this area of higher pressure
00:14moving across the UK and that will help draw up some hot and humid air with the winds coming
00:21up from the south and southeast. So as we go through Sunday and more so into Monday
00:26it could get hot especially across parts of southern England and central England too.
00:33But you'll notice low pressure out towards the west with this cold front and where this
00:37interacts we could see some heavy and thundery downpours for some of us, especially Northern
00:42Ireland and parts of Western Scotland. But back to this morning, quite a cloudy, murky,
00:49gloomy start across some southern areas of England with a fair bit of cloud. That should
00:54start breaking up into the afternoon but elsewhere across northern parts of England, Northern
01:00Ireland and Scotland we'll see plenty of sunshine here and the showers that we saw yesterday
01:06across Scotland should start fading away now with the higher pressure becoming more established.
01:12And like I said it is going to be feeling warm out there for many of us across Scotland
01:17and Northern England up to 21, possibly 22 degrees and hot and humid across the south.
01:24We could see temperatures rising at 27, possibly even 29 degrees.
01:31Now as we go through Sunday evening and overnight we'll start to see a breeze picking up across
01:35the south coast and into western parts as well. And we'll see some showers breaking
01:40out as well that could bring the risk of some lightning too. And then we have this area
01:45of low pressure across the west and we'll see some thundery outbreaks of rain, especially
01:50across parts of Northern Ireland and that will start pushing its way north and eastwards.
01:56Thundery with frequent lightning and some strong and gusty winds in this as well.
02:03As for the temperatures overnight though, it is going to be feeling warm out there.
02:07We'll see temperatures rising up to around 18, possibly 19 or 20 degrees further towards
02:14the south. So a muggy, uncomfortable night for sleeping for many of us as we start Monday morning.
02:22Now through Monday morning we will see this band of heavy thundery, showery rain move
02:27its way north and eastwards affecting western parts of Scotland during rush hour. So do
02:32take care here. There could be frequent lightning, some heavy and torrential downpours as well
02:37and some strong and gusty winds that could cause some impacts. That then moves its way
02:42north and eastwards and for most of us we should get away with a largely dry afternoon.
02:48There could still be the odd hit and miss thunderstorm, but most of us, like I said,
02:54should stay largely dry. As for temperatures then, once that band moves through across
02:59the north, highs are feeling fresher here with highs of 20 degrees. But further towards
03:05the south, the peak of the heat is going to be Monday and we could see temperatures up
03:10to 30, possibly even 33 degrees. So do take care out there as it is going to be feeling hot.
03:19Now as we go through Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be feeling fresher and more changeable
03:24but for more details on that, make sure to hit subscribe on YouTube so you don't miss
03:29an update and I'll catch you soon. Bye bye.
