00:00:00Father, we thank you for this another opportunity to minister
00:00:11to these, your precious sheep. Thank you, Lord, that revelation
00:00:15knowledge will flow freely, uninterrupted and unhindered by
00:00:20any satanic or demonic force. Father, I pray that you will
00:00:24speak through my vocal cords, think through my mind.
00:00:28Give me the right articulation and I give you praise for what
00:00:35we are about to hear. In Jesus' name we pray and everybody say
00:00:42it, amen. You may be seated. If y'all don't mind, I want to jump
00:00:50into this. I've been waiting all day to get here. A couple of
00:00:57little warnings here. You're going to have to listen to this
00:01:04in a spiritual ear because this is so far away from tradition.
00:01:13If you spend time tonight trying to hold on to your tradition, as
00:01:19you see the truth jump right out in front of you, you're gonna
00:01:26miss something. I've spent the most of the day studying the
00:01:35Greek text of hermeneutics, which is a very detailed invasion
00:01:44of the Greek language to where it is right now. And I discovered
00:01:50we're missing a lot. That little tweak thing's on again. So
00:01:56somebody come and turn it off so I won't unplug it. And so I want
00:02:01to just hop right into it. Tonight I call this a resting in
00:02:07the realm of the finished. Resting in the dimension of the
00:02:17finished. The finished. Not in the process of finishing, the
00:02:25finished. And I want to start off with these two scriptures as
00:02:30a text. John chapter 19 and 30, and then Luke 23 and 34. John
00:02:4119, 30, and Luke 23, 34. And King James. Now look at this.
00:02:47When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,
00:02:55it's finished. It's completed. It's done. And he bowed his head
00:03:05and he gave up the ghost. This is not a pretty little Easter
00:03:11statement. He said, it's finished. It's completed. It's
00:03:20done. It's done, done. There is nothing else left to do when it's
00:03:37finished. And Christian people keep wanting to find what else
00:03:43to do when he said, it's done. All right. Now let's go to Luke
00:03:58chapter 23 and verse 34. Okay, so it's finished. Now what do I
00:04:06mean by it's finished? Everything that pertains in life
00:04:10and godliness, it's finished. Everything that pertains to you
00:04:14as a human being, it's finished. He done. There's nothing you can
00:04:21bring before him that's not finished. There's nothing you can
00:04:26bring before him that's not completed. It is finished. Then
00:04:32Jesus said, then said, Jesus father, forgive them for they
00:04:44know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, his clothes
00:04:50and cash lots. So Jesus said, forgive them indicating he
00:04:56forgave them. He's referring to mankind, them, mankind. Mankind
00:05:11is forgiven. It's finished. You're forgiven. It's done. You're
00:05:17forgiven. Forgiveness is completed. It's done. Well, I'm
00:05:34gonna go to God and ask God to do that. Well, you can. And all
00:05:39the way he's going to reply is finished. God, forgive me.
00:05:46Forgiven. God, heal me. Healed. God, deliver me. Delivered. He's
00:05:57gonna say, you know, God, you say, God, forgive me. He's gonna
00:06:01say, forgiven. Finished. God, make me righteous. Righteous.
00:06:08Finished. It's finished. It's done. It's completed. And we
00:06:20think Christianity is trying to talk God into doing something,
00:06:24but you can't talk God into doing what he already finished.
00:06:30Right? Finished. I feel like tearing something up here this
00:06:37morning, this night. Look, it's finished. Okay, now. Now, now
00:06:44rock with me just for a little bit. This is how this all
00:06:47started. This statement I wrote down, the objective of true
00:06:51faith. So we're talking about in this series of true faith, the
00:06:54objective of true faith is Jesus and his finished works on our
00:07:00behalf. True faith is about the, well, let's go to objective.
00:07:06The object of our faith. Help me to break that down, Lord. The,
00:07:15I have faith for the, to be used where Jesus is concerned. The
00:07:25object of my faith is Jesus and his finished works on my behalf.
00:07:30That's the object of my faith. My faith is specifically for
00:07:37Jesus and his finished works. That's the object of my faith.
00:07:46Now, what we're going to look at tonight, and some of you may
00:07:52listen to this as I did, as I asked myself, but why is that
00:07:57such a big deal? In the scriptures, you will see in
00:08:03several translations that use it and several translations that
00:08:06don't use it, but there are some translations that use the phrase
00:08:12faith in Jesus. And then there are some translations that use
00:08:19the phrase faith of Jesus. And I want to, I want to deal with
00:08:27what may be a contradiction. I want to deal with what's the,
00:08:30what's the, I want to deal with faith in Jesus versus faith of
00:08:34Jesus. And so are you seriously being that picky? Yeah. The
00:08:40entire Christian body of Christ, because they were not this
00:08:44picky, have gone in a disdirection. You know, when
00:08:48you're flying an airplane, if you're off one degree and you
00:08:51get off just one degree, the further you continue to fly, the
00:08:55more away you are from your destination. And that's what
00:09:01happened. This one, this one, what we would call little thing
00:09:06has taken us farther and farther from the destination. So, faith
00:09:13in Jesus versus the faith of Jesus. Okay, let me see how I
00:09:20can say this. I'm just going to say it. I'm going to put it out
00:09:22there and then you just pay attention to the rest of the
00:09:24night. Faith in Jesus brings about the idea that my faith in
00:09:38him has got to do something in order to qualify for him or what
00:09:46he has. It's a kind of work. It's an indication that I have
00:09:52faith in Jesus. And you hear people say, well, you know, in
00:09:57order for this to happen, you got to believe in Jesus. Versus
00:10:03the faith of Jesus sounds more like a gift that I have the
00:10:10faith. I have Jesus's faith. So, it takes it a little, a little
00:10:18above having faith in Jesus. Now, watch this. Watch this.
00:10:24Versus having Jesus's faith. I have the faith of Jesus. Oh,
00:10:30glory to God. I have the faith of Jesus. And you'll see in a
00:10:34moment, Galatians says, we live by the faith of Jesus. I have
00:10:37the faith of Jesus. Versus the faith in Jesus. It's this, this
00:10:44real subtle suggestion that will continue to go on to say, if
00:10:53you're going to get this, this, this, this, this, you have to
00:10:56have faith in Jesus. I often wonder when people have that aha
00:11:04moment in the bleachers, I often wonder how necessary is it for
00:11:09them to come down and go to this prayer room to do
00:11:14something that's already done. Yeah, y'all going to hear me.
00:11:20I'm having to be careful how I go here. Not careful because I'm
00:11:25scared, but careful and cautious because I want you to hear it.
00:11:34Because what if you in the jungle somewhere and had an aha
00:11:37moment that Jesus is alive. Ain't nobody in no prayer room.
00:11:40Ain't nobody taking me up. Ain't nobody telling me to say this
00:11:43after me. So you mean to tell me I'm not saved unless I say this
00:11:49and do this that I'm not saved. Are you kidding me? God is much
00:11:52greater than that. I tell you, I got saved the day I had the aha
00:11:57moment in my heart to say, I believe in, I have, I believe in
00:12:01him. Yes, Lord. And I got saved right there without you saying
00:12:05nothing to me, not why aren't you holding my hand, without you
00:12:07telling me to repeat after you the aha moment.
00:12:15Are y'all on the bus? I got, I got, I got to calm down. I got
00:12:21to calm down. I got to calm down. All right. Go to, go to
00:12:26Romans 3.22. You, you, uh, Wednesday night crew, you, you,
00:12:35you need to understand something. Not too many people
00:12:37in the world has heard what you're getting ready to hear.
00:12:43None. Now, you see why God had to set me free from approval
00:12:46addiction? Well, I don't give a weird crap about it. I ain't
00:12:49gonna ask you. Watch this. Even the righteousness of God, all
00:12:58right. Now, how, how, how does that work? It is by faith of
00:13:03Jesus Christ. It's righteousness by faith of Jesus Christ. It's
00:13:12not, I'm righteous because I have faith in Jesus Christ. I'm
00:13:17righteous because of the faith of Jesus Christ. Oh, glory. And
00:13:22it's unto all and it's upon all of them. Watch this, that
00:13:27believe, not believe as a work, but believe in the faith of
00:13:36Jesus Christ that made me righteous. Are you with me now?
00:13:42Watch this. So it's the faith of Jesus Christ that I am righteous.
00:13:49It's his faith. His faith. His faith is why I'm righteous. All
00:13:57right, now let's look at Galatians 2.16. Ooh, Lord. Enjoy
00:14:04this journey. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works
00:14:12of the law, but he's justified by the faith of Jesus. Jesus'
00:14:17faith is the reason why he's justified. Not by any performance,
00:14:22not by any of your works, not by anything that you bring to the
00:14:26table. Not even by you saying, I have belief in Jesus Christ and
00:14:34my belief in Jesus Christ is the reason why I'm righteous. No, it
00:14:38is his faith. His faith. His faith is the reason you're
00:14:41righteous. Not because you have faith in him. His faith has made
00:14:45righteousness available. It's real skinny now, but it'll get
00:14:53broader as you go. You'll see this. So, knowing that a man is
00:15:01not justified by the works of the law, but he's justified by
00:15:06the faith of Jesus Christ. Whose faith is it? Whose faith is it?
00:15:13By the faith of Jesus Christ. Even we have believed in Jesus
00:15:17Christ. Yeah, we all believed in Jesus Christ that we might be
00:15:21justified. So again, that's not a work belief. We believe in
00:15:27Jesus Christ because we believe in the faith of Jesus Christ. We
00:15:32don't believe in Jesus Christ because we believe that's what
00:15:36it takes. We believe that's what it takes for us to become
00:15:40righteous. No, we believe in what it takes for us to become
00:15:44righteous. We believe in the faith of Jesus Christ and me
00:15:48believing in the faith of Jesus Christ is what it takes for me
00:15:52to be righteous. Watch this now. Watch this. Faith in Jesus is
00:16:05what it takes. Now, Galatians 2, 16, let me, I want you to write
00:16:09this down. We believe what he believes. That's what it's
00:16:15talking about. You're talking about the faith of Jesus Christ.
00:16:17We believe what he believes and his belief is the conclusion of
00:16:22our belief. Let me say it again. You just gotta, you gotta, you
00:16:27gotta do like I did today. You just gotta read it. So, so I
00:16:31believe what he believes. He believes I'm righteous. He
00:16:41believes I'm justified. I believe what he believes. He
00:16:51believes you're saved. I believe I'm saved. He believes you're
00:16:56healed. I believe what he believes. I'm healed. Glory to
00:17:07God. He believes you're delivered. I believe in the
00:17:13faith of Jesus who believes I'm delivered. Can you see? It's,
00:17:18it's separating me from any performance on my part. Even
00:17:28where Jesus is concerned. I am only believing what he believes.
00:17:33If he believes I'm delivered, I'm delivered. If he believes
00:17:36I'm justified, I'm justified. If Jesus believe I'm righteous, I'm
00:17:40righteous. If Jesus believe the devil can't defeat me, the devil
00:17:43can't defeat me. I believe what he believes. All right now, and
00:17:48what he believes, his belief is the conclusion of my belief.
00:17:58Here's where my belief is concluded. His belief. What he
00:18:04believes brings my believing to conclusion. It ain't nothing
00:18:10else for me to do once he's concluded what he believes. He's
00:18:17concluded what he believes. So my belief is also concluded. His
00:18:24belief is the conclusion of our belief. So I live by the faith
00:18:30of the son of God and whatever he believes, that's what I live
00:18:42by. I live by what he believes. Now in your ears, it's like, no,
00:18:50I live by what I believe, but see your belief changes back and
00:18:55forth and it makes it unstable and it requires works and it
00:18:57requires repentance and all that stuff. We don't want to
00:19:00believe. I don't want to no longer believe what I believe.
00:19:03Let me, let me fix it. I want to believe what he believes and my
00:19:09belief is at a conclusion. They ain't nothing for, whatever you
00:19:12trying to do with your believing, you're believing if
00:19:15Jesus has bought his belief to conclusion and he says, I believe
00:19:19you're righteous. I believe I'm righteous. Done. Finish.
00:19:24Completed. Yeah, but I ain't acting right. Listen, I don't
00:19:35want to talk about what you're doing or what you ain't doing.
00:19:40I'm only going to talk about what he believe about you.
00:19:50All right. Honestly, how many of y'all just got that little piece
00:19:53right there? Okay. The rest of y'all still working on it,
00:19:56right? Because you're fighting with, and this is not anything
00:20:02negative against you. It may be, it may become something negative
00:20:04against you, but you are struggling with the, what I can
00:20:10do to make it happen. And you are struggling with, but what
00:20:16about what I believe? And your belief is not what I believe.
00:20:24You get a bus shot. You keep standing on you and what you
00:20:31believe and you're not paying attention to. None of these
00:20:35promises have nothing to do with what you believe. All of these
00:20:44promises have everything to do with what Jesus believes.
00:20:54Because Jesus believes God and God believes Jesus to the point
00:21:04where he said, I'm going to show you, I'm going to show you a
00:21:06place in the Bible in a minute where it says, there's one
00:21:08faith, not yours or mine. It's one faith. I'm screaming at it.
00:21:16It's one faith.
00:21:24All right. All right. Let's get, let's keep going. Let's keep
00:21:28going. All right. So, I see the faith of Jesus. It equals
00:21:36finished works. It equals the gift. All right, let's, let's go
00:21:39a little longer. Romans 3, 20 and 24. At this particular point,
00:21:46you just, you just got to trust me. You're going to see it after
00:21:49a while. I'm going to take it down the road, but you got to
00:21:53trust me. I would tell you some of this stuff has manifested
00:21:55since I've made this switch and I realize when believing becomes
00:22:01a work, it destroys grace. And all of our hearts, everybody's
00:22:09preaching to us, you got to do. See, but we never considered the
00:22:15thing they tell us we got to do by believing. Yeah, I know the
00:22:21Bible says if you confess with your mouth and believe in your
00:22:23heart that the Lord, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to, you
00:22:27want to, you want to believe in your heart, but what is it that
00:22:28you believe in your heart? You believe in what he believes in
00:22:32your heart. All right. Verse 20, therefore by the deeds of the
00:22:41law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight. For by
00:22:45the law is the knowledge of sin. You know what he's saying?
00:22:47Nobody can be justified by keeping the law. That's what he
00:22:52saying. Nobody can be justified by obeying the law. One
00:22:56translation says nobody can be justified by his performance.
00:23:01Justified means to be declared righteous or be righteous. You
00:23:04can't be, he said that therefore by the deeds of the law, deeds
00:23:08are associated with the law. Performance is associated with
00:23:10the law. No flesh can be justified in the sight, in his
00:23:14sight, in his sight. You can't be justified in his sight. For
00:23:18by the law is the knowledge of sin. Verse 24, being justified.
00:23:22And I love this freely. You didn't get justified by deeds.
00:23:30You got justified for free by grace through the redemption, the
00:23:39redemption, the redemption. Where? In Christ. You were
00:23:45justified for free by grace and you got it through what Christ
00:23:52has, not what you have. You got what you got because what was in
00:24:01Christ. So what's in Christ? Everything that you need. Sound
00:24:06is in Christ. Righteousness is in Christ. Healing is in Christ.
00:24:20Deliverance is in Christ. It's all in Christ. And what did
00:24:24Christ say about all that? It's finished. It's done. It's
00:24:29completed. And hey, you are still looking for some deeds.
00:24:33All right. All right. Let's take it a step further now.
00:24:43Hebrews chapter 12 and two. Go there in the, go there in the
00:24:51King James, because I think I read it this past week. The
00:24:55Lord, the Lord bought it up in my heart and I said, why you
00:24:58want me to read this? I said, everybody know he's the author
00:25:03and the finisher of our faith. And so I put it up again. Let's
00:25:10read it. He said, looking unto Jesus. Looking to who? Looking
00:25:17to who? The author and the finisher. Some of y'all right
00:25:22on up in that thing with me, boy. I ain't even said it yet.
00:25:34You right there. Look to Jesus, the author and the finisher of
00:25:41our faith. Now, you ever heard of the mirror translation? Ooh,
00:25:47listen to this in the mirror translation. Well, in the Greek,
00:25:55it says, and it's important for me to say this. In the Greek,
00:25:57it says, looking unto the faith founder, looking unto the faith
00:26:05founder and finisher, looking unto the faith founder and
00:26:10finisher. He is the founder and the finisher of our faith.
00:26:16He's the founder and finisher of the faith. He's the founder and
00:26:22the finisher of the one faith. Go to Ephesians 4, 5. I need you
00:26:28to understand what I'm saying. I'm going to refer to that a
00:26:30lot in this teaching. A lot of groundwork we're laying out
00:26:34here. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. One Lord, one faith,
00:26:47one faith. He is the faith founder. It ain't but one. And
00:27:01he's the finisher. It ain't but one. He's the founder and the
00:27:08finisher of the faith, the one faith, not his faith plus our
00:27:13faith. He's the founder and the finisher of the one faith, not
00:27:19his faith plus our faith. He is the faith. No, no, no, no, no,
00:27:29no, no, no, no. Go to Galatians 3, 23. He is the faith.
00:27:35Somebody said that ain't Scripture. Let me show it to you.
00:27:37Yeah, he is the faith. You remember when they were talking
00:27:43about the law and they were talking about how the law served
00:27:45as a schoolmaster to take care of us? Did you catch this little
00:27:50verse where he says, but before faith came. Well, who came? No,
00:28:03who came in the person? What's the name? But what did, how did
00:28:06they refer to Jesus here? Before faith came, we were kept
00:28:16under the law, shut up unto the faith, which should afterwards
00:28:23be revealed. Who's he talking to? He's talking about Jesus.
00:28:30Until Jesus is revealed. It was Jesus that came and the
00:28:34scripture refers to him as the faith, the faith, the author,
00:28:45the finisher, the faith founder. And the mirror Bible says this,
00:28:51he is the founder head and the conclusion of faith. The faith
00:28:56we have is his faith in us. It is a finished faith in us. It is
00:29:10a perfect faith in us. So if he is the faith, the one faith, if
00:29:21he's the faith founder, if he's the beginning of the faith, if
00:29:27he's the beginning of the faith and the end of the faith and the
00:29:30perfection of the faith, then what are we supposed to be
00:29:34doing if it's his faith? You heard me, right? I know, I know
00:29:41it's going to trip you out. I need to go and see it. It's the
00:29:43elephant in the room. Not your faith. You ain't got no
00:29:46individual faith in yourself. The faith you has is his. He
00:29:52gave you a measure of the faith because they bought one faith,
00:30:00but you've been trained. You, your faith and your faith and
00:30:04your faith combined with, and we ignore it. Galatians 2 20 when
00:30:08it talks about the faith of Jesus Christ. No, no, no, no,
00:30:10no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You, you have, you have the
00:30:14faith that the faith founder put in you and you got to believe
00:30:20him. You got to believe that you believe in his faith. So what do
00:30:26you do? What do you do? There's only one thing for you to do.
00:30:36Who said that? Rest. Five steps to the greatest kind of faith.
00:30:4210 steps to get your faith to get a call. 15 steps to do that.
00:30:51Throw all that away. You, you ain't doing nothing but resting
00:30:55in this finished faith, this founder faith, this Jesus faith,
00:31:00this faith of Jesus Christ. You have now realized that
00:31:04everything I can ever need is Jesus. So if Jesus believes it,
00:31:10I believe it. So I might as well rest. All that we do is rest in
00:31:30the faith of Jesus. Oh my God. Yeah. God help us. That's all we
00:31:36supposed to be doing. I went and picked my book up. I wrote in
00:31:422017 on the radical life of faith. I must've been asleep
00:31:49doing some chapters and, and the Lord told me, go get your book.
00:31:55I opened it up. He said, you see what, you see what you wrote
00:31:58down right here? I said, yeah. He said, that's what I said. Oh
00:32:02my goodness. I wrote it down. That just shows you how many of
00:32:05y'all ain't ready yet. I wrote it down and the book kept going
00:32:12back to rest, going back to rest, going back to rest, going
00:32:15back to rest, going back to rest. All right. We almost there
00:32:25with the foundation. Y'all all right? I know some of you
00:32:29tripping. Now, if you've been a member of the Baptist church all
00:32:32your life, you straight done called me, uh, lost his mind.
00:32:49You remember I told you, God told me that the glory is going
00:32:51to increase in your life. That's cause we getting all this stuff
00:32:55out of the way. You're trying to make it too difficult. You have
00:33:00to get it done. That's only, well, there's another thing I'm
00:33:02going to show you in a minute, but all right, come on, let's go.
00:33:04Let's go. Galatians 2.20, Galatians 2.20, Galatians 2.20.
00:33:09Listen, y'all, I can't tell nobody else this. Where am I
00:33:13going to go and preach this? Seriously, where am I going to
00:33:21go? The winter night crew, that's the, this is the only
00:33:23time I can come when this, Galatians 2.20, read Galatians
00:33:332.20 with me. This is so amazing to me. Look at, look at
00:33:36Galatians 2.20. I am crucified. Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:33:42This is, this is cool. If I'm crucified with Christ, I'm, I'm
00:33:48a co-crucified one with Christ. Well, I'm with him, right? He
00:33:56crucified, I'm crucified. Nevertheless, I live, yet not I,
00:34:05but Christ liveth in me, faith in me. And the life which I now
00:34:11live in this physical body, while I'm in this physical body,
00:34:28I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me, finished,
00:34:34gave himself for me, finished. So while I'm in the human body,
00:34:43I'm living by the one faith. I'm living by the faith founder and
00:34:52the finisher. I'm living this way. Now the just shall live.
00:35:03The just shall live by faith. You know, you know why it's now?
00:35:08Because it's finished. You and I live in the finish. We live in
00:35:22the finished. We live in the now. Now faith or finished faith. The
00:35:28just shall live by what's finished and what's finished is
00:35:35finished now. It's not finished. If it's not finished now, it can't
00:35:41be finished later and be finished. It's finished now. And
00:35:47while we're in this human body, we live in the dimension of the
00:35:53finished. We live in the dimension of the now. So
00:36:00whatever promise you see in the Bible, it is not coming up with
00:36:06a method to try to get it. You can't get what an already been
00:36:11gotten. So here we are again. Rest. Rest. Rest. Rest. Rest.
00:36:23I live by the finished. We live our lives resting in his faith.
00:36:37It's not doing, uh, it's not doing. Yeah, period. It's not
00:36:47doing. It's not doing. It's not doing. It's not doing. It's not
00:36:53doing. Well, what is it then? It's resting. It's not doing. And
00:37:08when I do that, I don't wonder if I have enough faith. Do what?
00:37:18If I'm living by the faith of Jesus Christ, I don't ever have
00:37:21to wonder if I have enough faith. I don't have to question
00:37:25what's my faith enough. Are you kidding? You got the perfect
00:37:32faith, the completed faith, the done faith, the founder of
00:37:36faith. You got, you got the finished faith. You can't finish
00:37:44it no more than it's already finished. He can't forgive you
00:37:48no more than how he already forgave you. And you can go to
00:37:55pray every day, five times, forgive me, Jesus, but he can't
00:37:58forgive you no more than what you already forgave. He can't
00:38:02save you no more than what you already saved. He can't make you
00:38:07no more righteous. You ain't going to become more righteous
00:38:11because you're going to go on fast. You are in the realm of
00:38:17the finished. And not only that, I don't have to try and build my
00:38:29faith up. I only need to live life resting in his faith. Yeah,
00:38:38but brother, dog, don't we need to believe? Yes. Yes, you need
00:38:44to believe. What do you need to believe? You need to believe
00:38:47that it's his faith we live in. Yes, we need to believe. What do
00:38:52we need to believe? We need to believe that we rest in his
00:38:56faith. And then we realize that his beliefs, his believing is
00:39:03already finished. Oh my gosh. His believing's already finished
00:39:09in us. Oh, y'all ain't even thought about that. His
00:39:14believing's already finished in us. What he believes, when we
00:39:19believe what he believes is finished in us. So the faith you
00:39:24carry is finished. You ain't carrying some welfare faith. Oh
00:39:29my God. Oh, the glory getting ready to fall on y'all. The
00:39:40glory getting ready to fall on y'all. So what does it mean? This
00:39:52is the key to the glory. What does it mean to rest? Because
00:40:00we ain't doing it. Because we keep hanging around somebody
00:40:02that's trying to add work to your rest. And you know what the
00:40:07Bible calls work added to your rest? Unbelief. Go to Matthew
00:40:1011, 28, and 29 in the King James and then the message. What does
00:40:25it mean to rest? All right, let's answer that. That's got to
00:40:29be answered. Because we holler rest, we do rest, but we don't
00:40:32rest. We say, we supposed to rest. And then somebody say,
00:40:35all right, now here are the five things you got to do. Because
00:40:38you're trying to perfect something that should be rested
00:40:41and finished. And faith in you should be finished. Can you
00:40:49think of the millions of Christians? Faith's not finished
00:40:52in them. They don't, it's supposed to be finished. All
00:40:55right, so what does it mean to rest? It means to have
00:40:59confidence. It means to trust. And it means to rely on God.
00:41:03Complete dependence on him, right? So what does it mean to
00:41:06rest? I have confidence in what he believes. I have trust in
00:41:12what he believes. And what he believes is what he promised.
00:41:16And I have complete, total reliance and dependence on God.
00:41:20It means that we cast our cares over on him, knowing that he
00:41:25cares for us and that we are not created to carry worry, stress,
00:41:30and anxiety, or the cares of the world. You see, if you say you're
00:41:35at rest, what is the care and the stress and the worry?
00:41:45Seriously? Well, Brother Dollar, I'm at rest. I got this. You
00:41:49know how we love to just start, you know, Christian cliche and
00:41:53every time we learn something, well, Brother Dollar, I got, I'm
00:41:57living in the realm of the finished. Well, that stress
00:42:01gonna finish you out if you don't get rid of it. Why?
00:42:06Because we're still thinking, what do I need to do? What do I
00:42:10need to do? What do I need to do? What do I need to do? You
00:42:14need to have confidence and reliance on the finished faith
00:42:21that he put in you about who he is and what he said. And you
00:42:28need to meditate on this. It's done. It's finished. It's
00:42:32completed. Okay, so whatever's going on in your life, you can
00:42:38go ask him, but here's what you're gonna hear. Oh, Lord, I
00:42:42need provision. He says, provided for, finished. Now, I
00:42:51know this messes up your cute opportunity to show out your
00:42:55spirituality, but when you do like I'm teaching you, ain't no
00:43:02boasting. What you gonna boast about? Ain't nothing to boast
00:43:07about. How'd that happen? I just, I just believe what he
00:43:12believe and I've just been resting. Well, what if it don't
00:43:15come to pass? Well, maybe you didn't need it. Because that's
00:43:21what we're turning faith into. Our genie lamp. Come on faith.
00:43:27Come on car. Oh, bam, bam, bam, bam. We do anything, just. Y'all
00:43:39remember that? I didn't say the words, but. And that's the
00:43:45truth. Religion gave us something else to do. And we
00:43:55have, we believe more in what we can do versus believing what's
00:44:02done. And if you are not at rest, your faith will not be at
00:44:09work. Well, at least you got the answer. Now, you know why you
00:44:16ain't got that. Why you know that that ain't happened? Why
00:44:18you know you ain't seen that? Why you know what happened to
00:44:20this? Why you haven't done that? See, one thing we need to
00:44:23discover is like, Oh, when you say, God, let your will be done.
00:44:26And then he tells you to do something that you don't want to
00:44:29do. Well, you ain't ready for the will of God. Cause you
00:44:33wanted you. That ain't what I was talking about. God, but it
00:44:40might take doing that thing you didn't want to do to get you to
00:44:44where you want to be. But, but you're not ready yet. And so you
00:44:50need something to say, well, I'm going to go and make God do
00:44:57this, do that, do that. I'm going to make it. I'm going to
00:45:00make him do it. How much time I got? I'm going to tell you
00:45:05right now, that say two minutes. I need some more time. Two
00:45:09minutes, you know, two minutes. Boy, what you talking about? Two
00:45:12minutes. You let this thing go right now. You might not get it
00:45:15back. You got to let, you got to get it on out there. All right.
00:45:19Matthew, Matthew 11. You understand what it means to
00:45:23rest, right? All right. So now Matthew 11 and 28 and 29, he
00:45:27says, come unto me, all you that labor. So the only thing we're
00:45:31supposed to be laboring is to do is what? Rest. So he says,
00:45:34everybody that's labor, look what he said. He said, come to
00:45:36me. He'd been trying to get us to do that since we've been
00:45:40here. Come to me, come to me, come to me, come to me. I'm the
00:45:43one. Andre Cross said it a long time ago. Jesus is the answer.
00:45:47Come to me, come to me. All you that labor and are heavy laden.
00:45:52And he says, what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you rest
00:45:54because I'm going to look at, look at next verse 29. Take my
00:45:58yoke upon you. Learn of me, learn of me, learn of me, learn
00:46:01of me. For I am meek and I am lowly in heart and you shall
00:46:05find rest in your soul. Cause you just trying to work to get
00:46:12something. Now look at this in the message translation, 28 and
00:46:1629. Are you tired? Some of y'all said, mm-hmm. Worn out.
00:46:26Listen to this, burned out on religion. The Latin translation
00:46:35of religion is a return to bondage. You burned out on
00:46:42religion. I done prayed all night long. I done, I done
00:46:46danced, slob all on the carpet. I done, oh, I done, I done
00:46:51prayed in tongues until I lost my voice. I done, I done gave
00:46:55everything I got away. I done. He said, are you tired? Yeah,
00:47:01I'm tired. You're burned out? Yeah, I'm tired too. You're
00:47:08burned out on religion? I'm just, I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm
00:47:11tired. And you know, you're talking about your church hurt.
00:47:13No, you hurt yourself. All right. Look what he says. He
00:47:19says, here's what you do now. Here's what you do. And he
00:47:21says, I'm letting you go through all of that because I'm
00:47:23telling you that's not how this works. Come to me. Get away
00:47:31with me. He said, if you do, you'll recover your life. I'll
00:47:38show you how to take a real rest. And then he answered, walk
00:47:44with me. Work with me. Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced
00:47:57rhythms of grace. Grace that's not forced through your labor
00:48:03and grace that's not forced through your work and grace that
00:48:08doesn't have, have effort involved or performance that's
00:48:11involved in it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. He
00:48:15says, I won't lay anything heavy on you. Well, why do you care in
00:48:21heavy stuff? I won't put anything ill fitting on you.
00:48:27Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly
00:48:38because I'm the faith finder. Hebrews four, 10 and 11. Hebrews
00:48:53four, 10 and 11. All right. For he that is entered into his
00:49:02rest, he also has ceased from his own works as God did from
00:49:09his. So you cannot say you are resting in God. You've entered
00:49:15into his rest and you're still trying to figure out a work that
00:49:19can be done to get things to happen. When you rest, you stop
00:49:25working. There ain't no work. There ain't no toiling. None of
00:49:29that. All that's over. You're resting in who Jesus is and you
00:49:35believe what he believes and this is how you stay at rest.
00:49:41Lord, you believe that I can get a promotion. Now, most of the
00:49:44time we talk about stuff we want. Eventually you're going to
00:49:48mature and it ain't going to be like that no more. Eventually
00:49:50it's going to be, what is your will? I'm resting in you and I'm
00:49:57ready to receive your will. Some of y'all mess up. It's like
00:50:01sometimes when I invite somebody to speak, I say, how much are
00:50:04you charged for me to come? Oh, $2,000. I'm like, I was going to
00:50:07give you 10, but I give you what you asked for. For he that has
00:50:19entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works as
00:50:23God did from his. Now look at verse 11. So let us labor
00:50:28therefore to enter into the rest. That's the only labor you
00:50:31should be doing, laboring to enter into the rest. That's why
00:50:36stuff don't bother me no more. The other day I was doing a
00:50:40morning confession and there was some guy on there doing his best
00:50:43to get my attention and I wasn't paying him. I'm like, bless your
00:50:48heart. We not going to give you no attention at all. And the
00:50:52grace gang didn't give him no attention. He got wild and wild
00:50:55and he didn't get no attention. I believe that boy got delivered
00:50:57when the thing was over with. Cause we were talking about
00:51:03shame and how one of the ways to defeat shame is to do not give
00:51:07attention to fools. A fool says in his heart, there is no God.
00:51:16Let us labor therefore to enter into the rest. Lest any man
00:51:21fall after the same example of unbelief. You hear what he just
00:51:24said? If you're not in rest, you're in unbelief and you think
00:51:31you're in faith. If you're not in rest, you're in unbelief and
00:51:36you think you're in faith. When you got your little faith
00:51:39program all written down and ready to go, you think you're in
00:51:42faith and you're in unbelief because you're in work and you
00:51:47can't work on something that's done. The eggs are cooked. I
00:51:55can't be up there with some cooking, with some eggs that are
00:51:58done and saying, I'm cooking eggs. The eggs cooked. The house
00:52:05is built and we keep trying to disconnect what God has already
00:52:10connected. That's unbelief. It's the only thing that wasn't
00:52:18taking care on the cross because you have the free moral agency
00:52:23to decide whether you're going to believe, who you're going to
00:52:26believe or not. But you see, you take this thing one degree and
00:52:34we get so far away from the truth. It sounds like heresy
00:52:38when you hear it. I'm telling you what it is and your
00:52:43religious mind is saying, no. I believe I'm the righteousness of
00:52:50God. No, you're not righteous because you believe you're the
00:52:52righteousness of God. You're righteous because he is your
00:52:57righteousness and you're righteous all because of him.
00:53:03And because he know he righteous, he believe you
00:53:05righteous because him. And so you ain't got nothing else to do
00:53:10but to rest in what he believe. Y'all got to help me preach this.
00:53:25It's so powerful that when they get, try to dog me out, they
00:53:28won't understand enough to dog me out on it. Because I'll be
00:53:34protected by the spirit, the Holy Ghost. You don't know
00:53:38enough to dog me out on it. And then you just get to the point
00:53:43where I just, I just, I just don't, I just don't, I just
00:53:46don't, I just don't believe that. Tell the truth. We know
00:53:49you out in unbelief. You just telling us right now. Cause you
00:53:54rather rest in you than rest in him. All right. I'm going to
00:54:03go through this real quick cause I want to get to something
00:54:06that's just amazing. Hebrews four, nine through 11, you know,
00:54:11basically if we are willing to receive what Jesus has for us,
00:54:16we will enter into his rest. Are you willing to receive what
00:54:21Jesus has for you? And what does Jesus has for you? Everything
00:54:25you need. So the greatest faith a person could have is to rest
00:54:31in what Jesus has done. Now a critical aspect of walking in
00:54:38the rest of God is to give him all of our cares. I just talked
00:54:44to you about that. That's a part of it to give him all of your
00:54:47cares. See, if you're carrying care, you're in unbelief
00:54:51because whatever you're afraid of, believe in Jesus. You know,
00:54:57speaking of shame the other night, we've talked about it and
00:55:00the Bible said about that, it says he that believe it in him,
00:55:03in Jesus. Okay. And the faith of Jesus is referenced. There shall
00:55:08not be a shame. Why? Because he's the one that's broken
00:55:12shame. Ain't nothing you can go through that Jesus has not
00:55:16already finished, completed, done. Uh, so we're in the
00:55:21anxiety. We'll not add anything to your life. Matthew 6, 26 and
00:55:2427 says that. Now, I want you to write this down. Look at it
00:55:27when you get home. Second Chronicles 20 verse 22 and 25.
00:55:30When the people entered into praise, you remember they were
00:55:33going down at the battleground to praise and to sing before the
00:55:36enemy. When the people entered into praise, God slew their
00:55:39enemies. And when the people entered into praise, God slew
00:55:42their enemies. And when the people entered into praise, God
00:55:46slew their enemies. And when the people entered into praise, God
00:55:50slew their enemies. What happened? They were afraid. They
00:55:56thought these people finna kill us. And they got into praise.
00:56:00How many of you know praise will keep you at rest? They got into
00:56:06praise and while they were at rest and in confidence and
00:56:12laboring to stay at rest, God was at his best. Until you get
00:56:18at rest, you won't see God's best. And the enemies were
00:56:23destroyed. And then Psalms 46 and 10. I want you to turn there
00:56:30right quick. Psalms 46 and 10. All right, he says, be still.
00:56:38Turn your name and say, be still. You know what he's saying
00:56:44when he's saying, be still, be at rest. Be still and know that
00:56:48there it is again, that I'm God. That's a shadow of what was
00:56:52coming. I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted
00:56:56in the earth. Be still, be at rest, and God will be at his
00:57:00best. All right, now, a couple of points, and then I wanna
00:57:04close this with something. Enter into God's rest. How? By
00:57:09maintaining unwavering confidence in Jesus and by
00:57:13knowing that your trust in his finished works is what gives you
00:57:17access to the manifestations you're believing for. Your trust
00:57:21in his finished works gives you access to the glory. Your trust
00:57:25in his finished work, you're resting. You're resting. So, we
00:57:31are to spend our lives resting in the realm of the finished.
00:57:36Resting in his faith in us. Believe, yes, not as a work, but
00:57:47by just resting in Christ's finished work. If not resting
00:57:52demonstrates unbelief, then resting is demonstrating
00:57:56believing. I believe, and I demonstrate it by my rest. I
00:58:02believe in the finished works that made us righteous, in the
00:58:06finished works that made us sound. Now, listen to this. So,
00:58:09there are two things that we get out of this. All right, I'm
00:58:12living this life, waking up tomorrow. Here's what I'm gonna
00:58:15have on my mind. I'm gonna realize who Jesus is, and this
00:58:23is so cool. I'm gonna realize who Jesus is. I'm gonna realize
00:58:26that he's my righteousness. I'm gonna realize that he's my
00:58:28soundness. I'm gonna realize that he's everything that I
00:58:31need. I'm gonna realize that Jesus is everything that I need.
00:58:36I'm gonna realize that. And number two, I'm gonna rest in
00:58:41that. So, I wake up in the morning. I don't know what your
00:58:45issues are, but I'm gonna realize that Jesus is my answer
00:58:48for my issue, and I'm gonna rest in that, and I'm gonna take care
00:58:51of that before my feet hit the floor. Yeah. Yeah, Lord. See, you
00:58:58know you got a bill to do, but you realize that God is your
00:59:01provision, and all day you're gonna rest in him being your
00:59:05vision. That's how you live this faith. That's how the just live
00:59:08by faith. I realize who Jesus is, and I rest in what I know
00:59:13he is. That has to be simplified with all of these
00:59:17harmoniutical things. That's gotta be simple. I don't know
00:59:20how to make it even simpler. Now, go to Mark 11, 22 and 22,
00:59:2823. Mark 11, 22 and 23. Jesus answered and said unto them,
00:59:38have faith in God. We've always struggled with that because we
00:59:45knew it said, have the faith of God. And we went, and then we
00:59:50said, have the God kind of faith. And look what he said.
00:59:58For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this
01:00:06mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and
01:00:10shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
01:00:12things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have
01:00:16whatsoever he saith. Now, go back to verse 22. You see that
01:00:28word, have? I was shocked. In that Greek harmoniutical study,
01:00:35have is translated the word echo. Echo. Faith. Let me give you
01:00:53an illustration. Mark 4 and 40. Mark 4 and 40. Have here, and
01:01:04that's when you translate from one language to another. Dudes,
01:01:08you can't just read the English translation every now and then.
01:01:11You'll bump into something that missed out on the depth of what
01:01:16it was originally used. The original language of this new
01:01:20covenant is Greek. So, it would do you well to go back and find
01:01:25out what he really, especially in your heart when you're like
01:01:27saying, no, I don't know about all that. And so, what we do is
01:01:31we simplify it so simple that we don't have faith in God. Well,
01:01:35that can't mean nothing. Well, have means echo. Now, watch
01:01:40this. And he said unto them, why are you so fearful? How is it
01:01:46that you echo no faith? Why are you not echoing faith? We are to
01:01:59echo his faith when there are mountains that need to be moved
01:02:03or when the storms of life are tossing us about and we're
01:02:07afraid. We're not to echo. We're not to echo the problem. We're
01:02:12not to echo the situation. We're to echo faith. Have the faith of
01:02:21God. Echo the faith of God. The first place your faith ought to
01:02:28show up is on your mouth. But you're not echoing something.
01:02:34You're echoing the finished. You're echoing from the sounds
01:02:41of the finished round. Glory be to God. That's what you're
01:02:46echoing. Look at this one, 2 Corinthians 4, 13. So, now you
01:02:51know why it's gotta be in your heart, because the echo got to
01:02:55come from somewhere. You're echoing the faith of Jesus that
01:03:02he put in you. You're echoing the perfect faith that's in you.
01:03:07We have the same spirit of faith according to as it is written. I
01:03:14believed and therefore I spoke. We also believe and therefore we
01:03:23speak. Now you know what's happening. What comes out of
01:03:27your mouth should be an echo of what's in your heart. It
01:03:32shouldn't be religion on your mouth. It should be an echo that
01:03:36comes from your heart. And look at what he's put in your heart.
01:03:40Oh, man. So, you get up in the morning and you realize he's your
01:03:47righteousness and you believe that he's your righteousness
01:03:51because he believes that he's your righteousness. And I'm gonna
01:03:56find rest and echo all day. If we would begin to read the word
01:04:09faith as the one faith, as God's faith, as the faith of Christ, it
01:04:14would remove the struggles, the doubts, and the do to become
01:04:19mindset that the body of Christ has. The phrase faith in Christ
01:04:34speaks of the language of waiting, doing, and becoming
01:04:40faith in Christ. I gotta do something. I'm waiting on
01:04:44something. It's already in you. I'm becoming something. You
01:04:49already done became. That's the Old Testament. In contrast, the
01:04:54faith of Christ, the one faith, God's faith, it speaks finished,
01:05:02done, completed. Now, it is the language of our new creation. It
01:05:12is the language of our identity. Ladies and gentlemen, we have
01:05:18just explained to you how to just live. We live by the faith
01:05:23of Jesus Christ. We live by the now. We live by the complete. We
01:05:34live by the finished. You have to study this. You gotta look at
01:05:42this and you gotta absorb this because no sooner than we teach
01:05:47this, you know how easy it is for you to just float right back
01:05:54to what God has initiated in you tonight, and you'll walk right
01:05:58out of here and as soon as you get in your car, you'll forget
01:06:04that it's perfect faith, and you'll try to add your faith with
01:06:09the faith of Jesus Christ. It ain't but one. His faith is
01:06:14complete, and it's finished, and it's done, and you have in you
01:06:18the faith of Jesus. Listen, wait a minute, wait a minute. Some of
01:06:24you say, well, that's hard to believe. Well, you don't have no
01:06:26problem believing that you're righteous because he's righteous.
01:06:30You have his righteousness. You ain't got none. You have his
01:06:39wisdom. You have his redemption. You have all that. Why is it so
01:06:45hard to believe that you have his faith? You have his faith. I
01:06:56have his faith. I have his faith. Well, how you gonna do
01:07:01this? I have his faith. Well, how you gonna get out of this? I
01:07:04have his faith. I was listening to Abba Tina Walker on the way
01:07:09to church, and she was singing this song, I'm Still Here. I'm
01:07:15still here. I made it through. I'm still here. And I sat up
01:07:19there, and I said, oh, you better sing that song, girl. But
01:07:24the thing that I remember in those three years, I would not
01:07:30practice what I thought was my separate, individual, different
01:07:36faith. I just kept trusting and believing God. I'm healed. I'm
01:07:45healed. You got it all, and I'm not trying to get what's already
01:07:52been done. I'm healed with clots around my lungs. Soon as they
01:07:59got me out of the MRI and saw those tumors, I said, I'm
01:08:03healed. Oh, my God. When shingles hit my body and knocked
01:08:09me to the floor, I jumped up and said, I'm healed because I live
01:08:15and abide in the realm of the finished. All right, I'm gonna
01:08:27have to let y'all go, but stay tuned. Stay tuned all month long
01:08:36because like I told you, like I promised you, if you will get
01:08:40it, if you will get it and mark it, and I'm doing something I
01:08:46never done before. I'm trying to do the book while I'm doing the
01:08:49sermon because as soon as I finish it, I wanna have
01:08:53something ready for you to download to stare at. And if you
01:08:58would like, next week I can take you through that study. It's, you
01:09:05know, when you start studying, you know, preacher school stuff,
01:09:09it goes boring, boring, boring. Excited. Boring, boring, boring.
01:09:13Whoa. Boring, boring, boring. Boring. Awesome. But if you can
01:09:22handle it so you can see how I arrived at simplifying all of
01:09:29this, you could, you know. Well, I'll pray about it. I'm not
01:09:33gonna ask you. You want me to ask the Lord? Pray about it. I
01:09:37think you can handle it. I think you can handle it and we'll get
01:09:41it done, but all right. Y'all got anything out of this tonight?
