Station Road, Earls Barton residents and council call for resurfacing of road
Transcript
00:00This has been a long-standing problem. I can remember it being raised with me as a councillor
00:06at Wellingborough 12, 15 years ago and it's something that finally needs to be resolved.
00:17The foundation of the road I believe has completely collapsed with the heavy vehicles
00:22that use it for the extractions that take place nearby and it's time that this was prioritised
00:29as a scheme. For the residents that live here, for the people that use the road continually,
00:35for the businesses like the marina just up the road, it's time it was sorted.
00:41Well there's potholes everywhere, they're deep, they occasionally come and repair one or two
00:48but leave others. It needs a complete repair job and a complete resurface and not just surface
00:55dressing. The bridges are damaged and they need to be assessed as well because the land down here
01:02floods. Please make this a number one priority. It's used all the while, it's long overdue,
01:10it's been raised at parish council meetings at Grendon, Earls Barton and others for many a long
01:18year. It finally needs to be sorted.
