Casey Affleck on Teaming up with Matt Damon for ‘The Instigators’

00:00Once upon a time, actor Casey Affleck had trouble getting screen time.

00:03Now Affleck has Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA trophies in hand.

00:08And a very funny new movie called The Instigators that co-stars longtime pal Matt Damon.

00:14Now the pair have starred in multiple films together, including Good Will Hunting.

00:17And Casey tells us of re-teaming with Matt,

00:19We've known each other for a really long time.

00:22We've had just about every moment you can have in a friendship.

00:25Fights, marriages, divorces, and kids being born.

00:28I like to make fun of him, but he's actually a very, very smart actor.

00:33Now his brother Ben Affleck is a producer on the film,

00:35and Casey tells us of mixing business and family,

00:38Working with family is not unlike going home for Thanksgiving.

00:41There are arguments and they push your buttons in ways that people who don't know you as well can't.

00:46But he's also a very smart guy and a super talented filmmaker.

00:50So it's not like I'm slumming.

00:52And the best part, it is set in their hometown of Boston,

00:55with Casey telling us,
