00:00Good morning sports fans. I've been holding on to this bottle of champagne since the Paris
00:11Games kicked off 12 days ago and today is the day to celebrate. We've had our best day
00:16in Australia's Olympic history, winning four gold medals to take us to a total of 18, our
00:21best ever haul. We're bringing home a big chunk of the Eiffel Tower, that's for sure.
00:26Sailor Matt Wern kicked it off winning the men's dinghy. Skateboarder Keegan Palmer defended
00:31his Olympic crown. Then just minutes later our men's team pursuit cyclist blitzed their
00:36race. At this point we'd won three golds in about an hour but the night wasn't over. When
00:41Nina Kennedy came out for the women's pole vault, I wonder if she was aware what her
00:45gold medal would mean to the whole nation. We also won two bronze, six medals on the
00:50one day, another best ever. Jemima Montag and Ryden Cowley won bronze in the mixed marathon
00:55walk relay. Then fan favourite Matt Denny won the bronze in the discus, our first medal
01:00ever in that event. One of the hockey players was a bit naughty overnight but he's been
01:05sent packing without being convicted. It couldn't take the shine off our 18 gold medal day.
01:10Can you believe it? We're sitting in third place on the medal tally and I'm off to finish
01:15my champagne.
