In a planning overhaul, Angela Rayner has set new house building targets (1.5m new homes by 2029). But 57% have no confidence we'll meet targets. How do you feel about the need for housing - will 1.5m homes cut it or is it not enough? How confident are you we'll meet targets? How do you feel about building on the green belt in order to meet targets?

00:00I was very lucky in my generation, we were able to buy properties at three or four times
00:07income levels and have decent mortgages and people can't now because there's a shortage
00:12of accommodation.
00:14The problem is there are large parts of the country which have a lot of spare capacity
00:18but they're not where people live or work.
00:21I think from my opinions the population is growing fast, it's not going to be sufficient
00:29but it will be on the line, I think they could sort it out by that time and they may
00:34build more after that.
00:38Well it would be if it was possible to build it but unless you have a lot of money spent
00:44on social housing it won't happen because the only time we've succeeded in building
00:49huge numbers of new homes was in an area where local government and central government built
00:55social housing and that's a big gap.
