00:00The Mark of Shame by Chat G.P.T. in the style of Emily Dickinson
00:04In corners stood a maid so fair, Her tears like dew on lilies rare,
00:08Her countenance so well-begone, With scarlet hue upon her don.
00:12Her hands, they clutch the apron tight, Her eyes, they seem to lose their sight,
00:17With heaving chest and sobbing breath, She mourns her fate, foretold by death.
00:22The print of hand upon her cheek, The mark of shame, she cannot speak,
00:26But inwardly she bears the pain, Of knowing she is loved in vain.
00:30Yet, in her heart there is a hope, That from her chastisement she'll cope,
00:34And rise above the shadow's dark, To find again her soul's true spark.
00:38For in this trial, she'll be made new, And with a heart both strong and true,
00:43She'll face the world with open eyes, And find her way beneath the skies.
