00:00The Immigration Department detained 117 people in seven raids on prostitution dens
00:05in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor on Wednesday and Thursday.
00:09The detainees included 82 foreign women from Vietnam, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
00:15Immigration Director General Datuk Ruslan Juso said the raids in Seremban and Serikembangan
00:21also saw the arrest of 10 Malaysian men who were caretakers of the premises.
00:26He said that 19 foreigners had valid passes, 22 had overstayed and the rest lacked valid documents.
00:33He said some foreign women hid in secret rooms during the raids,
00:37while the customers tried to distract the raiding teams.
00:40However, he said the officers managed to uncover the secret rooms during the raids.
00:45They crippled two syndicates and seized foreign passports and RM7,055 in cash.
00:51The syndicates would offer massage and sex services at the premises
00:55after the customers paid in cash or online.
00:58The detainees were sent to the Lenggeng and Bukit Jalil immigration depots.
