00:00The gastro department has been closed for the past year.
00:05No doctor wants to work here.
00:07A doctor resigned because he doesn't get his salary on time.
00:10Unfortunately, you will see the whole issue.
00:14When the salary fund is allotted by the government of Delhi,
00:18they send it back saying that they don't have enough candidates and employees to pay the salary.
00:26That fund is returned to them.
00:28On the other hand, when the doctor goes for his salary,
00:34he is told that he has a deficit in the fund.
00:36He will get the fund from the government and then he will complete it.
00:39But at the end of the year, when there is an audit,
00:42the government refunds the fund saying that they don't have enough employees to pay the salary.
00:48As far as many departments are concerned,
00:50the nephrology department, neurology department, gastro department are all closed.
00:53In the ICU department, there is no doctor to work as per the criteria of the associate professor.
01:02There is only one doctor.
01:03You don't make an advertisement for him.
01:05The administration of Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty has only 77 out of 83 posts vacant.
01:13It is the first hospital in the country where there is no administration to run the hospital.
01:17They haven't advertised for two years.
01:20The director is also a link officer.
01:22The last director was B.L. Sherwal.
01:24The medical superintendent has also been dismissed.
01:27Dr. Gaurav Singhal is the additional medical superintendent of that hospital.
01:31He is a cardiologist himself.
01:34He is neither able to do cardio well nor is he able to manage the administration well.
01:39Patients are suffering because of him.
01:41You can see the number of heart patients in the cardiology department.
01:44Heart attacks have started after COVID.
01:48The cardiologist has been dismissed because he has been given an additional charge as a medical superintendent.
01:58He is only able to sit for 9 to 5 hours.
02:00He won't be able to sit because of that.
02:02These are the problems of Rajiv Gandhi.
02:04The second problem is the faculty deficit.
02:06You have a vacancy of 10 medical officers.
02:09You remove half of that.
02:11You remove 4.
02:12In 2020, you removed 84 posts.
02:15This year, you removed a total of 49.
02:17On one hand, patients are dying.
02:20We are not getting doctors.
02:22Even though you have adequate infrastructure here,
02:25you are not able to recruit them.
02:27You are not able to pay their salaries.
02:29The administration and even the health ministry should invest their money in this.
02:34This infrastructure has been developed for 2000 crores in East Delhi.
02:38In this, we can see departments like superspeciality,
02:41cardio, nephro, gastro, uro, and all the respiratory medicines.
02:46This institution has been running since 2013.
02:49In the last 10 years, there have been only 2 seats for respiratory medicines.
02:54Why not DM Cardio?
02:56Why not MCH Cardio?
02:57Why not a CT-based seat?
02:59If resident doctors come here and work,
03:02the patient load will increase.
03:03If the patient load increases,
03:04the patients who come from remote areas will get a good treatment.
03:09On the other hand, the Delhi government says...
03:11My name is Dr. Arun Kumar.
03:13I am a member of the United Doctors' Front Association.
