00:25What have these past few months been like for you?
00:26Crazy. Mental. I feel like a rocket has been set off and I haven't come down yet, which is amazing.
00:35I mean, you've said in other interviews that Britain's Got Talent was kind of like your
00:39last shot. I mean, thinking back to that decision to apply and to go for Britain's Got Talent,
00:44you must be so thankful that you did it.
00:45I am so thankful that I got brave because I was on and off trying to get on BGT for about
00:52four years. So you have to go back and forth sending videos and apply and things like that.
00:58And I kept pulling out the process because I was frightened. And I was like,
01:03if this goes wrong, this is going to ruin my career.
01:06And that's when I think I was brave enough to go, well, why not? I've got nothing to lose now.
01:10I got told I could go in front of the judges. So I was like, OK, got accepted.
01:15Let's actually do it this time.
01:17The whole of Kent seemed like they were behind you. They heard you were from Gravesend.
01:20They heard you could sing amazingly and they saw that golden buzzer
01:23and they followed you right through to the end. I mean,
01:25did you expect that much support from your hometown?
01:28No, absolutely not. So what I can do and give back and say thanks is come home for Christmas,
01:35come back to Dartford because I'm from Gravesend. So everybody near and far in Kent, come and see us.
01:43Now, just weeks on from that fateful day, it's back to her home county where she'll
01:47be performing as Fairy Christmas in this year's Orchard Theatre,
01:51Dartford pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty.
01:54Even when I was young, all my friends were getting in panto. I couldn't book it.
02:01And then the last time I went to a panto audition was about three years ago.
02:05Then I went back to Starlight and then, yeah, I'm living my panto dream.
02:11I've ticked it off.
02:11Yeah, you're giving something back to your younger self as well.
02:13Absolutely. We've done it, Sid. We've got into a panto.
02:17The Orchard Theatre West, as it's known, is a temporary theatre,
02:21preparing to stage its second and hopefully last pantomime before the company moves back
02:26into the original Orchard West building, which was closed after rack concrete was found last year.
02:32Kind of supporting the industry as well.
02:33100%. This is fantastic. This is amazing. I'm so impressed. I think everyone's going to love it.
02:40I used to go to the Orchard to watch pantos when I was young,
02:44so it's really good to now be a part of it, the Orchard West, but you know what I mean.
02:51There's still lots of magic to do before audiences pack in here for some pantomime fun,
02:56and with an album on the way, plus a Royal Variety performance still to prepare for,
03:01it's clear the Christmas season has arrived.
