00:06Force Base today.
00:08With the Australian head of exercise Pitch Black confident yesterday's crash was caused
00:13by an issue with just that particular aircraft.
00:16Air Commodore Pete Robertson said the aircraft crashed on pastoral land about 12 kilometres
00:21south of the community of Daly River, which is about an hour and a half south of Darwin.
00:26That investigation will take some time to work through, but our initial indications
00:30are that the event was to do with that particular aircraft.
00:35It doesn't have anything to do with the wider Pitch Black construct or with other aircraft
00:40involved in the exercise.
00:42He said the pilot, who has recovered from minor injuries, was able to direct the aircraft
00:47away from the built up area before ejecting.
