00:00The public schools have been cleaned up a week before the new school year.

00:13Each and every bit of the clean-up and shovels,

00:16teachers, parents, school's division office, MMDA and other volunteers

00:20to clean and fix Potrero Elementary School in Malabon.

00:24That's a week before the official start of the class.

00:28The parents are worried about the flood and possible damage to the fields.

00:33The canals will be flooded.

00:35There's a lot of stagnant drainage.

00:39We need to fix those.

00:43That's what the school's division office in Malabon wants to focus on.

00:46That's why they're also declogging the canals.

00:49The water collected in different parts of the school has also been removed.

00:52We can be sure that the canals are free-flowing.

01:05Because the teachers in the school's division office are busy preparing for the new school year,

01:08the new Department of Education's Secretary, Sonny Angara,

01:12ordered the teachers to hand over their report

01:16where they're reviewing the school year.

01:19The teachers' complaint is that the school year is the same as the new school year.
