00:00you know, from being a young child, obviously a teen in the United States of Tara, for instance.
00:06Yeah.
00:07Was that fun to do? I mean, that was for Steven Spielberg, no less.
00:10Yeah, Toni Collette was, oh, just my absolute number one. I mean, still is. But what I mean
00:18is, is at that time, I had identified her as being an actress that I, it made me understand
00:24what I wanted to do, like the type of actor I wanted to be, that I wanted to just completely
00:30transform any chance that I could, that I didn't want to have consistency in my work. Because I
00:35had, with Toni, I had, I used to just stay home and just watch movies like all day. That was like
00:41my thing. And I remember three different movies. I was like, who's that? And looked her up. And I
00:49had no idea that they were the same person. And I was like, is that a way to do this job,
00:54that I can do it like that? Like, it was such a aha moment for me. And so when that job came
00:59around, I was like, this is what I'm supposed to do. Like, this is it. I'm supposed to be
01:04with this person. And she's just the best of the best. And it was, I mean, nothing better.
01:09I mean, just the dream job to go from like 18 to 21, to do scene work with your hero,
01:15who just teaches you. And the thing with her that became so important is she doesn't stay
01:22in character at all. It's like, she's in it with you in the scene and she's out. And seeing that
01:28at a young age and going like, wow, having that type of control and boundary and technique is
01:34really cool. And that's what I strive for. And that's been what I've been going for this whole
01:39time. In other words, you don't take the character home with you. Sometimes things linger, you know,
01:44things can touch your own experience and you feel sad. That can totally happen. But in terms of,
01:51I try my best to really prep. That's a huge part of my prep at the beginning is understanding how
01:56to get in and out. It's not so much about playing the character. It's actually about getting out
01:59of the character becomes a bigger part of my prep than anything else so that I can just allow
02:04myself to be with myself because that's what helps with the stamina of it is to feel like
02:09you're in your own thoughts, in your own mind, in your own world when you can.
