00:00a few rumors dotting around over the weekend and at the beginning of the week which suggested that
00:06Conor Roberts might be returning to Leeds. Our understanding is a little bit different I feel
00:13and certainly it's not imminent if there are talks you know taking place. I think the situation at
00:22Burnley with Scott Parker coming in, I get the impression that he'll first of all want to assess
00:29the squad and while they do have several options at right back, they've just signed a new right
00:36back from from PSV Eindhoven, I do kind of get the impression that he might, Parker this is,
00:42might want to keep someone with the experience of Roberts around. I haven't spoken to a couple of
00:46people close to the club and close to the player. It doesn't sound like anything's imminent right
00:54now. I know you have to caveat everything in a transfer window with subject to change because
00:59who knows what Scott Parker might decide. Actually no, he can go but as it stands right now,
01:07there's nothing imminent for Conor Roberts at Leeds United. From Burnley's point of view,
01:13why would you do something that your direct promotion rival believes strengthens their case
01:20above yours? If I was Burnley and I was, if Conor Roberts wanted to go and I was open to that,
01:25I'd be dealing with everyone but Leeds United. I wouldn't be doing a single thing to help Leeds
01:30United this summer because I think that they are the two sides most likely to challenge.
01:36And also you were saying about, you know, everything in the transfer window is subject to
01:40change. I mean, earlier this year when there was obviously whispers that Roberts might be coming
01:46to Leeds, earlier in the January transfer window, having spoke to people who were ultimately close
01:51to the deal, they informed us that nothing was imminent and that there hadn't been approaches.
01:56And then having then spoken to Roberts upon his signing, he actually did confirm that right at
02:02the beginning of the January window, conversations were held. So again, it's just about sort of
02:07reading between the lines and yeah, we'll see how these things pan out. But yeah, as we say,
02:13you know, nothing imminent at the moment.
