In 1973, a small village in Enfield, Illinois was stalked by a tripodal creature with short, stubby arms and large pink goggle-like eyes. Over the course of eleven days, at least eight eyewitnesses identified the creature, including a young boy who reported being attacked while playing in his backyard. What was it? Where did it come from?

The last to document the case was noted cryptozoologist Loren Coleman in the 1970’s. We follow up on these mysterious incidents in an effort to uncover new secrets. For the past five months, The Ropen Network’s senior field investigator, Jacob Guerra, documented new findings to bring new light to this unusual case. He spent four days in Enfield, speaking with the locals and visiting the sites where the accounts of this forty-eight-year-old case first began, discovering how most of the eyewitnesses may have been affected supernaturally by the creature’s presence. Since the incidents in 1973, the Enfield Monster has yet to be reported in modern times, and we may never know just what or where it truly originated from.
