00:00I've always voted Conservative, apart from once I voted Tony Blair.
00:04But I didn't vote Tory this time. I'm not telling you who I voted for.
00:07But I couldn't vote Tory.
00:09All my friends are Tory. Not one of them voted for them.
00:12Most people seem to have been voting against the Conservatives
00:16rather than for Labour or any other party for that matter.
00:20So I think that's a big motivator.
00:22The Labour government has a big challenge now coming in.
00:25They're picking up a lot of ruins of what the Conservative government has created
00:29The last four years have destroyed the British economy,
00:32destroyed once again the trust in politics of the British people.
00:35I'd like them to address inequalities.
00:37I'd like to see more support of people who have been forgotten and left behind.
00:42I'd like to see more support for our health service.
00:46I'd like to see children being a priority in mental health.
00:50To improve things will take more than five years
00:53because the degradation of the country has been so chronic
00:58that it's going to take longer than five years.
01:01The distrust that the Conservatives have made now is one that's going to last
01:04at least for my generation in particular.
01:06But you've seen the votes have completely changed.
01:09The thing I'm most excited about is the planning reform aspect
01:12because our economy is really crying out for investment
01:17and it's tough to deliver the public investment at the moment
01:21because the fiscal situation is fairly weak.
