Kate Middleton May Present Trophies At Wimbledon Amid Cancer Treatment

00:04that Princess Kate Middleton will make an appearance amid her ongoing cancer

00:09treatment. The Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis in March after

00:14growing speculation mounted over her whereabouts after not being photographed

00:18in public for several months. Wimbledon officials told The Telegraph that

00:22there's a chance she'll be attending the highly anticipated tennis tournament

00:26saying we're hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the

00:30trophies as the club's patron, but her health and recovery is the priority.

00:36The chair of the All England club Debbie Jevons recently told The Telegraph

00:40we don't know what we don't know. All we've said is that we'll work with her

00:44and give her as much flexibility as possible. The Duke and Duchess of Wales

00:49attended Wimbledon for the first time together in June 2011. Ever since then,

00:54Princess Kate has been a common face at the London tournament and has served as

00:58patron for its long-standing venue the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet

01:03Club since 2016. She made her first public outing of the year in June

01:08at Trooping the Colour alongside her children 10-year-old Prince George,

01:13nine-year-old Princess Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis and husband

01:18Prince William. Kate was first spotted in a carriage and later joined the royal

01:23family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. Her appearance came one day after

01:27the Princess gave an update on her health journey. The 42-year-old shared a

01:32rare photo, an optimistic message, saying she feels good about her prognosis

01:37amid the ongoing cancer treatment. She wrote in part,

01:40My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel

01:44well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on

01:49things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a

01:53little work from home.
