00:00Polls have closed and after a six week general election campaign featuring twists and turns,

00:09highlights and plenty of lowlights, people across Scotland and the UK have finally had

00:14their say.

00:15A dramatic exit poll suggests Labour will have a massive majority of 170 with 410 MPs

00:23compared to 131 for the Tories and the SNP will have just 10 MPs in Scotland, an incredible

00:30drop from the 48 they won in 2019.

00:34But will that poll prove correct?

00:36I'm Alistair Grant, the Political Editor of the Scotsman and our team will be working
