If you could live on any street in Liverpool, where would it be?

00:00The average house price in Liverpool has increased by almost £100,000 in the last 20 years,

00:06with the average cost of a detached home skyrocketing by more than £200,000.

00:12There's a lot to think about when buying a property, including its size, location and

00:17your budget.

00:18But if money was no object, if you could live anywhere in the city, where would it be?

00:23Well, we've been on the streets of Liverpool to find out.

00:26And I always like to be as close to the city centre as possible, so probably, I'd probably

00:32say, you know, in the, is it like the Knowledge Quarter, the Georgian Quarter?

00:36I like the old three-storey houses, but I like the really modern insides, so I'd probably

00:42go for there, yeah.

00:44Possibly round by the Cavern, that area.

00:49So you could just hop out any moment and go see some live music?

00:53Yeah.

00:54Well, I'd like to go back where I moved from, Grafton Grove, that's where I moved from Toxteth.

01:00We moved to Norris Green in 1979, and I'm sorry we ever moved from there, because they

01:07were lovely, they're lovely people in Toxteth.

01:10You do get a bad name when the Toxteth riots, but there's a lot of real nice people in Toxteth,

01:16you know.

01:17I think Bold Street stands out to me, it's just such a diverse of restaurants, clothing

01:21shops or whatever, and I've been to a lot of cities in the last few years, a lot of

01:27boarded up places, but Bold Street stands out, it's not a play-boarding site, and it

01:30looks very good and pulling for the shoppers, yeah.

01:33And the way it's changed since I moved, it's totally changed, now you wouldn't know it,

01:37you know, so, but like everywhere.

01:40Some parts of Liverpool are seeing homes sell for huge amounts of money.

01:43Statistics show that the cheapest street in the city has an average sole price of just

01:47£27,500, while the most expensive was more than £1,000,000.

01:52Winterhill Close in Calderstones has the priciest property, whilst New Road Court in Old Swan

01:58has the least expensive.
