00:00We'll be right back.
00:03How great you could argue the hottest team in all the bigs.
00:06That's the Houston Astros winners yesterday up in Toronto
00:09three to one make that 10 victories in the last 11 for
00:13the Stroh's at the start of June eight games below 500 at
00:17the start of July and now into its second day two games
00:21above 500 for the first time this year 43 and 41.
00:26How did Houston flip the switch?
00:29They're playing much better, you know, hitting a little bit
00:32better. Ben when I look up and down their lineup, it's still
00:35nowhere near as formidable as it was in the past. A lot of
00:39that has to do with Kyle Tucker not playing obviously, but
00:42you know, no Correa sometimes no Altuve. It just depends on
00:45the day for them and they're still not scoring a lot of
00:47runs. So naturally they're digging into their form system
00:49and calling kids up and they're getting good pitching. The
00:52bullpen seems to be a little bit solidified, but it does
00:55feel like maybe this is an Astros victory by default.
00:58That's not to take anything away from them. But the you
01:01know, the Texas Rangers have just been awful, you know, and
01:04so the bottom of that division with Oakland and I know la
01:07has played a little bit better but without those teams really
01:09in contention. It's kept the Astros in the game and that's
01:13really all you can ask for. I'll be curious to see what
01:15they do in a few weeks. It's it's a dynamic where again this
01:19season, it looks like you could get a couple of playoff teams
01:22and a on the NL with just 83 or 84 wins or maybe even less.
01:25So maybe Houston keeps alive and still has that shot.
