00:00With better weather hitting London, we're on a mission to find the best beer
00:05garden in the capital. So today I've come to Hackney Wick, known for having plenty
00:11of spots up and down the canal to sit and enjoy a pint. Hackney Bridge Bar is
00:18growing a reputation as one of the best places to stop off during the summer.
00:23It's got an outdoor space big enough for large groups, it's right by the water and
00:29as well as having shaded areas, it's also in the sun all day from sunrise to
00:34sunset. So for those looking to settle in on a hot day, it's the perfect place for
00:39a little session. The bar describes itself as a canal side destination where
00:44creativity meets community, claiming it's a dynamic hub that features an array of
00:49independent businesses, street food vendors and cultural events that
00:53showcase the best of East London. And to be honest, I'd agree with that. For me, the
00:58food and drink are the best of the lot. As well as having an alfresco bar by the
01:03water, they also have seating inside of its cooler and a food market in there
01:08that you can take food outside to. They've got burgers, plant-based burgers,
01:12Mexican, Caribbean, Indian, Filipino and Japanese options. And today I went for
01:18some prawn tempura and some gyoza dumplings as well as a little half pint
01:23because technically I'm still working and it went down great as you can tell.
01:34Hackney is easily one of the coolest spots in the capital from the trendy
01:38Broadway market to walking up and down this canal here. While settling down for
01:44a view at the Hackney Bridge Bar, you can look for your next spot over the river
01:48and if the day leads into night, you're not too far from Shoreditch and Hackney
01:53Broadway Market as well. The easiest way to get here is by hopping on at London's
01:59overground to Hackney Wick station where you can stop off at the Hackney Bridge
02:02Bar before meandering down the river, stopping off at different places as you
02:07go. From the bridge itself, you get a great view of the trendy bars along the
02:13waterfront, the graffiti tunnels and the character that's embodied here in East
02:18London. Now I'm here on a Friday afternoon and I can tell how busy it's
02:23going to get, especially over the weekend and even more so on hot summer days. It's
02:29also got fairy lights dotted around the outside area so you know it's going to
02:33be just as scenic during the evening too. As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this
02:38place. I've just come here today and it really did blow me away. So from London
02:41World and Local TV, it gets a big recommendation as one of the best beer
02:46gardens to head to this summer in London. For more what's on news from
