00:00:16sun. Yeah, the sun in the sky. He said, Lord, give me some more time. I don't know what you believe
00:00:21in God for, but you're gonna need some time to do it. Particularly if you're no longer 20 years old,
00:00:26maybe you've snuck into your 40s, 50s, 60s, whoever you are. Today, I'm preaching. I need more time.

00:05:32What's up, Word Nation? Summer has arrived in Northeast Ohio, but we all know it won't
00:05:54last forever, and not to be dramatic, but neither will we, because let's be honest,
00:06:00some of us are out here living like we have all the time in the world. But let me ask
00:06:05you a question. What if you knew you only had 30 days left on this earth? Well, in keeping
00:06:12with the theme of Strike While It's Hot, which our pastor will be concluding today, he's
00:06:17about to challenge us with that very question in his new series starting next Sunday, July
00:06:247th, 30 Days to Live. Now think about it. If you knew you only had one month, would
00:06:30you spend your time scrolling or strategizing? Complaining or creating? Would you live in
00:06:36fear or walk in faith? Would you mend broken relationships or finally let go of toxic ones?
00:06:44How desperately would you seek God's presence if you knew you had only 30 days? And on a
00:06:52practical note, what life insurance policy would you wish you had? Now, this series is
00:06:58about our vitality, not our mortality. It's about living life with intention and intensity,
00:07:06recognizing that every breath is a blessing and every day is an opportunity to do and
00:07:12be something great. Pull up in person if you can, stream it live if you can't, but whatever
00:07:18you do, make sure you're tapped in for this life-changing, paradigm-shifting, get-off-your-butt-and-do-something

00:18:49out in somebody's life. You thought you came for a sermon. You came for the presence to

00:22:06Joshua 10, look at verse 12. On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua
00:22:22prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, let the sun stand still
00:22:28over Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Ageon. So the sun stood still and the moon
00:22:34stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. We try that one
00:22:39more time. So the sun stood still. Let me see who catch it. And the moon stayed in place.

00:23:05in the Lord's house. November 22nd, 1963 will go down as a day of infamy in American
00:23:20history because of the loss of a presidency. John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas on that
00:23:27infamous day while riding in a car with his wife. Fast forward five years and his brother,
00:23:34you'll love this, was also killed. Get your mind around that, while he was running to be
00:23:40president. And then 41 years later, their baby brother lost his life, Ted Kennedy, but
00:23:48he lost his life, I guess as it were, to natural causes, dying of a kind of brain cancer.
00:23:55I don't know how many of you know this, but in 2009, President Barack Obama did the
00:24:01eulogy for Ted Kennedy. He said something that arrested me cognitively because he said
00:24:06regarding Ted Kennedy, he said unlike his two brothers who died in their 30s, God gave
00:24:13him the gift of time. Yeah, yeah. He lived to be 77 years old, having seen his kids and
00:24:20grandkids and lived a full life, became a senator, seated senator of the United States
00:24:25of America, and lost his life in 2009. President Barack Obama said God, unlike his brothers,
00:24:32gave him the gift of time. Y'all pray for me, but the older I get, the more I realize
00:24:39that time is a gift. We found out that Joshua takes over for Pastor Moses, he had been
00:24:46assistant pastor. God says, it's your time now, Moses is dead, stand up and lead, my
00:24:50brother. All of you remember the first thing he did, he said, go down to the Jordan River,
00:24:54you don't even have to fight, all you gotta do is stick your foot in the water and the
00:24:57water will stand up on liquid legs, you'll walk across on a sovereign sidewalk. So they
00:25:01stuck their foot in the water, the water stood up and they walked across. Then the very next
00:25:05Sunday, the walls of Jericho came tumbling down. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down.
00:25:11Then last week we found out, in the battle of Ai, that God can let you make up for battles
00:25:16you lost. And so now this week, they are chilling at Gilgal. I gotta break this down, and I
00:25:24can't rush. They're at Gilgal. Gilgal represents place of rest. Gilgal represents place of
00:25:29new beginnings. Gilgal is where the manna stopped falling from heaven. God used to drop
00:25:33bread out of heaven, God says it's time for you to grow up and plant your own stuff, I'm
00:25:37taking you to new levels, stuff I used to do for you, I'm gonna help you do for yourself.
00:25:41And so Gilgal represents place of maturity. Gilgal represents respite. They are chilling
00:25:47in Gilgal. I want you to catch this, simultaneously while they are chilling in Gilgal, a king
00:25:52called Adonai Zedek, say Adonai Zedek. Well just try to say it, Adonai Zedek. Adonai Zedek
00:26:00is the king of Jerusalem. He's a false king. His name really means God of righteousness,
00:26:07or person of righteousness, but he's not really righteous at all. Take a mental note.
00:26:13Y'all been missing these mental notes for three weeks. How come your phone isn't out?
00:26:17That's why you're flunking the class, you got a D- in church. I need y'all to come here.
00:26:21I need you to come here. Adonai Zedek, Adonai Zedek, take a mental note. Adonai Zedek,
00:26:28say it again, Adonai Zedek, take a mental note. His name means person of righteousness.
00:26:35Oh wow. So Adonai Zedek, he is the king of Jerusalem. Joshua is leading the army of Israel.
00:26:43Adonai Zedek is hearing about how Joshua got out on the city of Ai. He's hearing about
00:26:49how the walls of Jericho came tumbling down. He's hearing about how Jordan River stood
00:26:54up, and he's scared, he's scared of Joshua. He's scared of Joshua so much so, he hooks
00:27:00up with four other kings. Some of you have seen the movie called The Five Kings, it's
00:27:04biblical, Five Kings. Why? Because he hooks up with four other kings in the region and
00:27:08says, let's all get together, because this guy coming. Let me try this one more time.
00:27:14Let's all get together, and this guy is coming. Matter of fact, let's jump on the city of
00:27:19Giba. Now y'all gotta catch this, because Giba, Giba, this is so good. Giba is a city
00:27:24that in Joshua 9, think with me for five minutes or I'm gonna lose you, okay? In Joshua 9,
00:27:29God promised through Joshua, Joshua promised the city of Gibel, I'm not gonna hurt you.
00:27:34Remember that. He promised them, I'll make covenant with you as I'm sweeping through
00:27:38fighting, Gibel, I'm not gonna hurt you guys. Word got back to King Adonai Zedek about
00:27:45Gibel, and so he calls the five kings together, including himself, four kings plus himself,
00:27:51and says, let's attack Gibel. Let's attack Gibel. When they find out the five kings are
00:27:59on the way, they sent word to Joshua saying, please come help us. Okay, y'all gotta catch
00:28:06this, it's gonna get good, because I'm not even sure that the five kings liked each other.
00:28:12It reminds me of the first church that put me out. I wrote a book called The Blessing
00:28:19Behind Closed Doors. I say this every five years, but I think I'll say it again, take
00:28:24your phone out, text all your exes and say thank you. Y'all just missed that, praise
00:28:28God. Because everybody that didn't want you set you up for what God has for you. So I
00:28:34wrote a book called The Blessing, go ahead, text them right now, say thank you, thank
00:28:38you, thank you, thank you, thank you. You changed my life. These five kings don't even
00:28:47like each other. It reminds me of the first church I pastored. I love them so much, I
00:28:50do mean it. I love them because they were older, I was younger, they didn't have to
00:28:54give me a chance. I tell y'all this all the time, I'm 27, 28, don't know nothing, still
00:28:58don't know nothing, but they gave me a chance, and I love them for that. But when they got
00:29:02ready to put me out, because too many brothers and sisters were joining from the streets,
00:29:06they got rid of me, what tripped me out was families who didn't even like each other,
00:29:11got together just long enough to put me out. Once they put me out, they start fighting
00:29:17again. Y'all missed that. I got a word for you, there's some people that don't even
00:29:21like each other that's hooking up just to get rid of you, but no weapon fought. I wish
00:29:26I had five people. There's some people that don't even like each other that much, but
00:29:31they gossiping about you because they want to be you, they want to take you out, so they
00:29:34have their meetings about you, and don't even like each other.
00:29:46Alright, so now with that context, keep in mind, right, Adonai Zedek leads this army
00:29:52and says, I need all five armies, let's all hook up, let's swing on Gebel, take them
00:29:58out, maybe we'll see what that does for Joshua and his little army. So the Bible says,
00:30:03in verse 6, got your Bibles? The Bible says, it's on the screens, the Bible says,
00:30:07the men of Gibeon send word to Joshua, camped at Gilgal, don't let us down, come up here
00:30:12quickly, save us, help us, all the Amorite kings who live up in the hills have ganged
00:30:18up on us. They send word, they send word. The people from Gebel says, please come help
00:30:24us, because they on their way to take us out. Y'all got to catch this. All Joshua promised
00:30:30Gebel was, I'm not going to hurt you. He never promised them, I'm going to help you. I need
00:30:36thinking people, if you're going to come to the word church, or I'm taking you deeper
00:30:39than most pastors, because this is the word church. I want your emotions, your spirit,
00:30:43and your brain, come here, because I want you to catch this. Only thing they promised
00:30:46was, we won't hurt you. They never promised we're going to help you. Plus, Gebel ain't
00:30:51like Joshua that much anyway. But now that you need help, I'm sorry, lean on somebody
00:30:56for the second time, say, be careful how you treat me, you may need me soon. I don't
00:31:00know who I'm talking to. But Joshua really didn't have to go help them, but Joshua, like
00:31:06Jesus, thought, these are the least of these. Has there ever been somebody who didn't deserve
00:31:12your help, but you gave it to them anyway? And the only reason you helped them, lean
00:31:16on somebody, say, it's the God in me. Go ahead, if it wasn't for the God in me, I wouldn't
00:31:20even speak to you. If it wasn't for the God in me, I wouldn't even say hi to you on no
00:31:24morning at work. The God in me makes me be nice to people who deserve a real cuss out.
00:31:30The God in me makes me be kind to people who tried to kill me. The God, I wish I had some
00:31:35people. When people talk about your church, you ought to say, you better thank God for
00:31:38my church. You better thank God for Jesus. He's the only reason I didn't scratch your
00:31:42whole face without Vaseline.
00:31:54I want to bless y'all with something, because verse seven says, so Joshua and his entire
00:32:09army, nine o'clock, didn't get this, this was free, including his best warriors, left
00:32:14Gilgal and set out for Gibeon, including his best warriors. Wow, why did the text tell
00:32:22me something I didn't ask the text? The text told me he ain't just sent anybody. I'm trying
00:32:27to figure out, what is it about Christendom that makes us think there's some sort of dichotomy
00:32:33between Christianity and excellence? How come you want me to feel sorry for you just because
00:32:40you saved? You want me to hire you just based on the Jesus in you when you can't type? You
00:32:48want me to let you work on my grass when your lawnmower don't work? I don't know who
00:32:51I'm talking to. You want me to be patient with you when you don't have no skills, and
00:32:55you want to throw a black business in my face? I ain't just looking for black business, I'm
00:32:59looking for excellent business, because what I need done, your color don't matter as much
00:33:03as what you give me. I wish I had five people. I want to support your black business, but
00:33:07your black business is ghetto, and I wish I had eight people that would understand that
00:33:17God is looking for the best. At this point in my life, I want the best people working
00:33:21for me. I want the best people around me. I need people that can get stuff done. I'm
00:33:26trying to get paid, I'm trying to stay safe, I'm trying to go to the next level, I'm trying
00:33:29to build my family, I'm trying to kill poverty, I'm trying to get to the next place of my
00:33:33destiny, and I can't have ghetto, lazy people around me that don't want to kill something.
00:33:39I wish I had some best soldiers up in here.
00:33:51I don't just watch Bible stuff, I watch business, entrepreneurial stuff. I've been leading
00:33:57a staff of 20s and 30s, some 50, 60 people get a paycheck every week because of the word
00:34:01church, and so I have to think like a CEO also, so I don't just watch preacher stuff
00:34:04and church stuff, I watch prominent CEOs who have done well, and they talk about higher
00:34:08all great people, and those great people will push each other. Great people want to
00:34:14be surrounded by other great people. Don't get C people, get all A people, and let them
00:34:18just work together, and you'll see they'll kill more stuff for you in six hours than
00:34:23people who are doing nothing can kill in 12 hours. Get great people, entrepreneurs, that's
00:34:27for free. The Bible says he brought his best soldiers. Okay, this is going to bless your
00:34:32life. Have you ever heard this story? Listen, this is going to bless you. It's in the Bible
00:34:36too, because there's another reason Joshua went. Militaristic strategy. Because Joshua
00:34:43was thinking, I didn't have to fight Jericho, thank God the walls came tumbling down, I
00:34:48just got out on AI, just got out on AI, I got to capture all of Canaan. Wait a minute,
00:34:53you're telling me all five of my enemies are going to be in the same place? Y'all not
00:34:58catching this, this about to get good. Joshua found out all five coming. He said all five?
00:35:06I wish I had some people to save now, but you used to fight. Raise your hand, I just,
00:35:10okay, I need y'all to catch this. So I can get this over with in one day? Okay, y'all
00:35:14got to catch this. I ain't got to extend my time with crazy, I can just kill this in one
00:35:19day? Y'all got to catch this. When Joshua heard all five, most people would have run
00:35:24from that. Joshua ran to that. There's some stuff in front of me, I'm just ready to kill
00:35:30and get it out my face, because it's been holding up my destiny for too long. I got
00:35:34to go in and fight all this now, so I don't take it into 2025. I've been dealing with
00:35:39this mess too long. Come on, sucker. I wish I had some people.
00:35:47The reason for Joshua's response lies in his military strategy. Up to this time, Israel's
00:35:53army had attacked one fortified city at a time, but now there's a chance to get them
00:35:59all at the same time. Can I give you something for your notes? Got your phone out? I asked
00:36:03God to give all of you strategic thinking and planning. Strategic thinking and planning.
00:36:10We don't want to hear these business principles at church, but the black pastor has to be
00:36:13a psychologist, businessman, a therapist. He does. Welfare system, the black pastor
00:36:18doesn't have the luxury of other cultures. We have to teach it all at church so that
00:36:21our people can be well-rounded and smart. And I want you to catch this. You need strategic
00:36:26planning and thinking. Some of you think spiritually, but not strategically. Those of you that are
00:36:31married, you're around my age, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, whatever, what's the new strategy
00:36:36for your spouse and you? Because the 30s strategy won't work in your 50s. We need a new strategy.
00:36:42What's your strategy to get to college? Your mama don't have no money. And so here you
00:36:46are getting C-minuses with no money. Yeah, people with no money can't get C-minuses.
00:36:51They got to get As. Because the only strategy I have to get to college is to get there on
00:36:56my own because education does not run in my family and poverty does. So I got to have
00:37:01a strategy even at 13, 14 to get myself to the next level. I need a strategy to win.
00:37:09Yeah, pre-pandemic strategy doesn't work post-pandemic. You know, the churches that are closing now,
00:37:15the ones that didn't make the adjustment. Pastor got all these young people sitting
00:37:18on the front row. I had to shift. I don't just see 2025, I see 2035. Y'all got to catch
00:37:25this. And so all the churches that won't produce and raise up young people, they dying.
00:37:31Because all of us got to die. What's your strategy? What's your strategy as a single
00:37:36woman to get a husband and a bonnet on your head in the grocery store won't let me flirt
00:37:41with you? Yeah. A bonnet and pajamas in the airport does not equal husband like me.
00:37:49Men with money don't marry women with bonnets in the airport and pajama pants.
00:37:58Look at this. He's talking to you. I don't even have a bonnet. I don't have no pajama
00:38:02pants. I don't have no bonnet. This is my hair. I got the receipt.
00:38:13Let's turn up y'all. Verse 8 says, let's turn up. Don't be afraid of them.
00:38:18The Lord said to Joshua, I've given you victory. I've given you victory. I've given you victory.
00:38:26Y'all know that's my favorite word. I've given y'all victory. I sleep with victory. I go
00:38:29to bed with victory. I wake up with victory. Victory all over me. Y'all missed that. No
00:38:33pun intended. I got the victory in every way. I got victory. I wish I had five people that
00:38:38would praise God for the victory. Not a single who I feel like preaching this. One of them
00:38:42will be able to stand up against you. Now I need you to catch this. If you haven't shouted,
00:38:46this would be shout time. Why in the world would this man go fight five armies with his
00:38:52one army? Let me try this again. The math don't add up. They got five armies. I got
00:38:58one army. You missed verse 8. You'll be taken off running already because verse 8 says,
00:39:02do not be afraid of them. The Lord said to Joshua, I have given you victory over them.
00:39:07Not a single one of them. Okay. Okay. Y'all still didn't shout. Let me try this again.
00:39:13Verse 8, the message version better run right here. God told him, don't give them a second
00:39:19thought. I put them under your thumb. Not one of them will stand up to you. How are
00:39:27you not running around the church? Don't give them a second thought. Can I preach to somebody
00:39:33that the devil keeps trying to tiptoe through the corridors of your mind with past stuff
00:39:39you can't change. God sent your pastor to church to tell you on this last Sunday of June
00:39:452024, there's some stuff you've been thinking about too much. God said, don't give it a
00:39:50second thought. You didn't gave it 293 thoughts. How in the world you gonna keep thinking
00:39:55about stuff that God told you don't think about no more. God says, don't trip on that.
00:39:59That's over now. Don't worry about that. It can't touch you. You have the victory over
00:40:04that, but don't give that a second thought. Y'all missed that. I'm tired of stuff that don't
00:40:10have no business in my mind, getting that much space in my domain. I want to preach to
00:40:15somebody. Don't give it a second thought. Pastor, I'm just like you. I'm an overthinker.
00:40:21I am. I'm a critical thinker. I overthink. I think when I don't want to think. Have you
00:40:26ever want to tell your mind, stop, raise your hand. I need five people. Have you ever been
00:40:30laying in your bed thinking, stop. I don't want to think about that. Here come 2019.
00:40:35Here come 1978. Here come my first husband. Here come the stuff I went through. Here come
00:40:39my abuse. Here come my daddy who don't care about me. Here come my mama who's messy. Here
00:40:43come all that stuff in my head. Here come the man I slept with. What I could have did
00:40:47better for my daughter. How I dropped my son when he was young. I ain't got the money I
00:40:52should have. And you laying there thinking yourself into depression. And God told me
00:40:58to tell you, don't give it. You just missed that. Well, pastor, can't nobody tell they
00:41:04self what to think. You better read your Bible. Philippians 4 says, whatever things are
00:41:08lovely, whatever things are pure, whatever things are noble, whatever things are of good
00:41:14report, think on these things. Come here. The same Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5,
00:41:19putting every thought into captivity. Taking every thought captive. Another version says
00:41:26making every thought obedient to Christ. Which means when you thinking about something
00:41:32that's not of God, snatch it off your mind. And say, okay, y'all didn't shout. I come
00:41:38to tell you, your whole life getting ready to change today. Whenever you start thinking
00:41:42about something that's not of God, I got a word for you. Get up that moment or lay there
00:41:47that moment and start talking out loud. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise
00:41:52shall continuously be in my mouth. You can pray all you want. You ain't got no man.
00:41:57You single. You lonely. Everybody else give me, Lord, thank you that I don't have any
00:42:01disease in my body. Lord, thank you that I don't have a soul tie. Lord, thank you that
00:42:06I'm not guilty right now because he just got off top of me. I don't feel no guilt no more.
00:42:11Lord, I thank you that even though I'm lonely, I'm blessed and highly favored. I'm about
00:42:15to go help my mama. Lord, I praise you for strengthening my body. You decide what you
00:42:20think. I don't have enough money for my family. I'm blessed. The wealth of the wicked
00:42:31is laid up for the just. Wealth and riches shall be in my house. I wish I had five people
00:42:35that would start talking out loud to yourself. I'm blessed in the city. I'm blessed in the
00:42:39field. I'm blessed when I come in. I'm blessed when I go out. Devil, you can't have my mind.
00:42:44Devil, I refuse to lay here and give this another thought.
00:42:59I'll put them under your thumb. No one will stand up to you. Can you imagine if Jesus
00:43:05tells you you already won? If you thought Joshua was hype, how hype do you think he
00:43:11is now? His soldiers got to be thinking, they got five armies, we got one. He says,
00:43:16don't worry, I got a word. If you knew what I said, you'd be taken off around this church.
00:43:21I got a word from God that I'm going to win in the end. Can I tell y'all what happened?
00:43:27I'm rushing now. Can I tell y'all what happened? What happened was Joshua headed toward them
00:43:32uphill of hundreds and hundreds of feet. Uphill climb. That's important. Uphill climb with
00:43:39his army. Uphill. It's uphill. So, it's tiresome just walking and they got to walk a long
00:43:45way. When they get there, they start the battle against five other armies. You're going to
00:43:50read Joshua 10 when you get home. I can't go verse by verse. My time is gone. They start
00:43:55fighting the five armies and they get out on them. Boom. Boom. They slamming on them.
00:44:01But when God is with you, he's more than the whole world against you. When God is on your
00:44:07side, watch this. The Bible says they whooping them so much that the five armies start running
00:44:13from them. But while they running from them, your Bible says, God let a hail storm fall.
00:44:19Y'all ready to shout? The Bible says more of their soldiers died from the hail storm
00:44:25than died from the fight. Y'all watch this. While you fighting in the natural, God got
00:44:30your back in the supernatural. While you fighting one battle, y'all didn't say nothing. You
00:44:34have no idea. Let's have church. If you don't shout right here, you might not be saved.
00:44:38You don't have no idea how God's been fighting for you in the heavenly realm. Here it is.
00:44:44Why don't you shout for the car that didn't hit you? Why don't you shout for who you
00:44:50didn't sleep with but you almost did? Why don't you shout for the bullets that would
00:44:54have took you out? Why don't you shout that you left the club five minutes before they
00:44:59shot the club up? Don't you know God got angels? Come here, grandma. All night, all day, angels
00:45:05watching. Can I get 50 people that would thank God, hit somebody and say, I got me an angel.
00:45:18Take 30 seconds and praise God for the heavenly realm. Praise God for unseen angels. Praise
00:45:25God for stuff you don't even know about. Praise God for protection that came from the
00:45:29east, west, north. I feel like preaching now. Praise God that God protected you from stuff
00:45:34that should have took you out. I'm rushing, but the Bible says Joshua with the power of
00:45:44God is fighting these five armies. The ones that ran the hailstorm killed him. The fight
00:45:50is going on. It gets gooder and gooder. Now, here's what I came for. Oh my goodness. Y'all
00:45:54think y'all watching a Lifetime movie. Look at me. The fight is getting better. They fighting
00:45:58like whatever. Joshua happened to look up and saw what time it was. He's thinking we
00:46:05winning, but it's five armies. To make sure everybody dead, I'm a need. I used to be slow
00:46:17too. I'm praying for y'all. I'm a need some more time. So Joshua, the Bible says in the
00:46:22next verse, in front of everybody, Joshua said and prayed to the Lord and said, let
00:46:28the sun stand still. Y'all missed it. In front of everybody. I try not to miss nothing when
00:46:34I'm exegeting the text. I try to see every word because I think every word is relevant.
00:46:38The Bible says in front of everybody. I'm thinking that's major because there's some
00:46:42stuff I pray to myself, right? Particularly as a leader, this is a boss move because what
00:46:49he's about to ask for is boss. And I would have been like, Hey God, Hey, hook a brother
00:46:55up. No. He said, all y'all come here for a minute. Everybody. No, stop. Everybody.
00:47:00Whole army. Everybody come here. I want y'all to hear me make this request. Lord, I'm
00:47:08asking you to let the sun stop and let the moon stop. Y'all didn't say nothing. I feel
00:47:15like preaching here. Let the sun stop. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. What
00:47:19in the world makes you think you a son stopper? I feel like preaching. I don't know where
00:47:24my son stoppers are at. So let me preach it. You got to be kind of radical to think that
00:47:29you can act mother nature or father nature to stop. Watch this to stop the sun. Y'all
00:47:34got to catch this. I'm trying to figure out what gave him the unmitigated goal. What gave
00:47:38him the unusual audacity preach RA. I think I will. What made him think, watch this, that
00:47:43he could tell the sun to stop. Watch this. Well, he thought about what God had already
00:47:47done. You see, water doesn't stand up just because you put your foot in it. Walls don't
00:47:53fall just because people shout. Battles don't get one that just got lost. But God had done
00:47:58so much for him in the last four chapters. He said, wait a minute. If you did it before
00:48:02you can, I wish I had, can I get eight people up in here that God has done so much for you.
00:48:09Now you operating on crazy faith saying, if you brought me out of that, I'm about to take
00:48:14it to another level and ask you to do something that my family ain't never seen before. Ask
00:48:19for something radical. Believe God for something big. I call you a millionaire before you were
00:48:2533 years old. I call you dead free. I call Casa out your body. I call you healed in Jesus.
00:48:39I'm out of here y'all. Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Oh, I just got
00:48:45in trouble. He said, Lord, I want you to stop the sun. Uh, I want you to stop the sun.
00:48:51Y'all missed it. You know, I want you to stop the sun because I want to get this over with
00:48:56right now. I want this to end today. Only problem is today ain't long enough and I don't
00:49:03want to take my today into tomorrow. So I'm asking you to expedite some stuff because
00:49:11I got some time I need to make up for. I wish I had five people who are not 35 no more.
00:49:16That's a little older than you used to be. They will say, God, I need more time. Can
00:49:20I preach to 50 radical people that will say, God, give me some more time. Watch this. It
00:49:25gets better. Y'all wait a minute. It gets better because I got some English majors here.
00:49:30Yeah, but also got some science majors and my science majors are giving me that look
00:49:36because I'm telling them that the sun stopped. According to the Bible, my English majors
00:49:42are thinking one thing, but my science majors thinking a whole nother, my science majors
00:49:46are going off in their minds and hold up. Wait a minute. Uh, the sun never stops. The
00:49:52sun doesn't go down. Pastor. The reason why it gets daytime and nighttime is not because
00:49:57the sun goes down. It comes up. It's because the earth rotates. Can I put some science
00:50:02in my sacred? I feel like preaching. Can I put some science in my sacred and get out
00:50:06of here? The reason why it gets dark is not because the sun goes down. The sun never goes
00:50:10down. Pastor. The sun is not the one that's moving. It's the earth that's moving. Y'all
00:50:14got to help me. The sun does not go down. The sun does not come up. Come here. Science
00:50:19people. The reason why it gets daytime and dark time is because the earth rotates around
00:50:25the sun and at a certain time, at a certain place, you get dark because of where the earth
00:50:30is situated. So my question is, why did he ask the sun to stop instead of asking the
00:50:34earth to stop in his book? Nine o'clock didn't get this in his book, worlds of collision.
00:50:45He mad basket suggested that the long day was caused by the near pass of a comment.
00:50:50Some people say a comet pass, some sort of opposite eclipse. Some would argue that he
00:50:55noted that the axis produced the visual effect of a retrogressing or arrested son, a greater
00:51:00tilt in a multiple day or night. I ain't got time for all of that. All I'm trying to tell
00:51:03you is I don't know what happened. Maybe God let the sun move because he wanted to. Maybe
00:51:09God made the earth stop or maybe God said, I'm the light of the world. Anyway, I'll just
00:51:13get in front of the sun. I wish I had to. All I know is God gave him some more time.
00:51:19Y'all looking at me funny and can I talk to somebody who wants God to give you some
00:51:23more time because there's some more stuff you got to get done before you die and you
00:51:28need more time. The Bible says, watch this, that God gave them some more time. Let me
00:51:34give you three reasons. I got 50 seconds on the clock that I need more time and I'm
00:51:38out of here. First and foremost, let's have church. Y'all, I need more time for my
00:51:43family. I need more time to be with my family. I don't know who wished they would have read
00:51:49to your kids a little bit more when they were little. Who wish you would have prayed a
00:51:53little bit more. Who wish you would have had the maturity then that you have now. Who
00:51:58wish you were the woman then that you were now. God told me to tell you, don't give that
00:52:03a second thought. Just ask God for some more time because God says you're going to be a
00:52:09better grandmother, I feel like having church, than you were a mother and you're going to
00:52:13give your grown children wisdom. If you didn't raise your son, chase him. Go to California
00:52:18and find him. Go to Antarctica if you have to. Walk to Canada. Catch a big wheel to Africa.
00:52:24Do what you got to do to find your child because he's in therapy over you, but it's not
00:52:29too late for you to find him. You can't get that time back, but you can redeem this time.
00:52:34I need more time. I may be a pastor. Y'all may look up to me, but I feel like I failed
00:52:39as a father in some ways. The kids tell me I did great. I tell them they're grading me
00:52:44on a curve. The church was growing too fast. I was moving too much. I never missed one
00:52:49game, one graduation, one nothing, but I wasn't always mentally there. I'm dealing with some
00:52:54million dollar deal on the table. Some place I'm supposed to be in New York. Some place
00:52:58I got to fly. So sometime I'm there, but I'm not there. But I said, God, if you let me
00:53:02live, thank God they haven't preached my funeral. Now I call all my kids. I talked
00:53:07to them more than I did then, and then God gave me two healthy grandbabies, and I'm going
00:53:11to speak into their life more than I did their mama and daddy's life. I wish I had 15 people.
00:53:16Some of y'all looking at me funny, but I'm asking God to give you more time to be a better
00:53:20auntie, to be a better father, to be a better mother. You ought to ask God for more time.
00:53:29But then number two, I need more time to get my affairs in order. Oh yeah, pastor, I'm
00:53:36safe, but if I die today, I ain't quite leaving what I want to leave. Lord, give me some more
00:53:43time to build up my portfolio. Give me some more time to put some things in place. Y'all
00:53:48know next Sunday, I'm starting a series called 30 Days to Live. 30 Days to Live, what insurance
00:53:55would you pull out? If you had 30 days to live, what insurance would you purchase? By
00:54:00the way, again, they don't give insurance to people who are going to be dead in 30 days.
00:54:05The insurance companies are in the money-making business, so you can't wait until you get
00:54:09sick and then get insurance. While you got health in your body, while you're 20 years
00:54:14old, get a million dollar policy for $20 a month because your health is so good. Think
00:54:21about your family and your future kids while you're still in your 20s and your 30s. I need
00:54:26more time to get my affairs in order. Lord, give me some more time. But then finally,
00:54:33I need more time to prepare for eternity. I wish I had 50 people to have church with
00:54:39me. Yes, I'm on my way to heaven, but Lord, if you let me live, I want to get closer to
00:54:44you. I want to live even better. Can I preach to somebody? I want to pray more. I want to
00:54:49praise more. Some of y'all are still sitting there, but can I get 50 people that would
00:54:54act like you may not make it another day? And the old folks said, I'm going to praise
00:54:58the Lord, watch this, while I have a chance. Some of y'all are sitting in church like a
00:55:03frog on a log, but you have no idea what a blessing it is that he woke you up this morning.
00:55:10Can I get 50 people to praise God that you're still alive? You made some mistakes in your
00:55:17life. You should be dead. Watch this. But God gave you another chance. If you're not
00:55:22too stuck up, if you're not too mean, if you're not too sadiddy, I want you to walk over to
00:55:2712 people, shake their hand like you're going to shake it off and tell them I need more
00:55:30time. Take 30 seconds and praise him for more time, right quick. Some of y'all ought to
00:55:44throw your hands up and say thank you God for more time. Thank you that you let me live.
00:55:48Thank you for another chance. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Class. I told y'all to take a
00:56:08note. What's his name? I only gave one question on the test and the whole church failed. I
00:56:24got one question on the test. What's his name? He's the one started all this mess, right?
00:56:34He's the one called all the four Kings, right? When the fight started, all five Kings went
00:56:41and hid in the cave. While they boys getting massacred, they in the cave. Word gets back
00:56:49to Joshua. They all in the cave. Joshua said, you know what? Don't even bring them out.
00:56:56Put a rock in front of them. Y'all didn't hear what I said. They in the middle of the
00:57:04battle, the King's hot. Joshua says, don't even worry about them right now. Put a rock
00:57:12in front of him, locked him in and let's finish our assignment. We can't be distracted by
00:57:18weak people. Y'all got to catch this. Lead him in the cave. Lead him in the dark. They
00:57:24don't want this. He finishes the battle and then comes back. Okay. I told y'all to take
00:57:31a mental note on what? Okay. This going to bless your life. Those of you who like eschatology
00:57:38and then I'm finished. Eschatology in time things. What happens at the end? Eschatology
00:57:45in time teaching. Okay. Watch this. This is for Bible people, but the King of Jerusalem
00:57:51was among the five Kings. This would be the end of the reign of his life. His name means
00:57:56Lord of what? He was the pagan King of Jerusalem. This important. He led a confederation of
00:58:03five Kings. He fought against Joshua. He resisted God's occupation. He was kept with the other
00:58:10Kings in a cave. If this don't make you fall out, when the antichrist comes, the false
00:58:18Messiah, according to revelations 13, three, he will rule over Jerusalem. Same thing. This
00:58:23King did second Thessalonians two, verse three and four. He will lead a confederation of
00:58:28Kings. Revelation 17 fighting against God, his occupation of the land. He will be hiding
00:58:36in a cave at the end. So Adonai Zedek is a type of the antichrist, which is to come
00:58:48in the end times. But the reason why he's going to be in a cave is because he already
00:58:53lost the battle because one day on Calvary, Jesus won the whole battle. So the antichrist
00:59:02unrighteous will be defeated. You know why you should shout no matter what you're going
00:59:08through. Look at your neighbor and say, cause I read the end of the book. Go ahead. We win
00:59:14in the end. Somebody give God a praise that you have the victory right now. Oh shucks.
00:59:27I may as well finish the sermon. Look at me. Bible says finally they went in there when
00:59:31the battle was over and got them five Kings. Read Joshua 10 when you get home. Bible says
00:59:36Joshua said, pull all five Kings out and put your foot on their neck. There's some stuff
00:59:42I told y'all, you knocked it down, but you ain't put your foot on his neck. This is a
00:59:47season to kill stuff that's been holding you hostage. This is a season to kill pornography
00:59:52and kill this lack of mental health and kill this poverty over your family and put some
00:59:58place. And then your Bible says, no, when you kill them all, Joshua says, put them all,
01:00:04hang them all on a tree. So everybody can see that what's behind you can't kill you.
01:00:11Then what God has for me, it is for me, hung them all on a tree so everybody can see that
01:00:16your enemies are defeated. I don't know who I'm talking to, but the devil is a defeated
01:00:20devil. A word, I need more time. I hope you were blessed by this series titled strike

01:00:39what you would do if you only had a month to live. I wonder what insurance papers you
01:00:43would make sure were in order. By the way, if you only had 30 days to live, nobody would
01:00:48give you any insurance. So prayerfully that's in place. What would you do? What relationships
