00:00Hello, we are the Blokes from Justice and we're here at Glastonbury 2024 with NME.
00:11What we are looking out for when we work with people like singers or musicians, like it's
00:18the case with like Thundercat, Kevin, Rimon, Miguel, The Flint, Conan Mocasin, is but first
00:28we have to love their music and also their voice because we all ask them to sing on the record
00:37although like most of them are also like producers, instrumentists but it's the voice
00:43that we're really looking for. What they all have in common is that they are very
00:52independent in the sense that all of these projects are almost like a one-person band
01:02even if some of them work with other people they are like, they write, they play on the songs,
01:07they produce them, you know, and we also saw in their music although it's very different
01:16from Justice that there's a big common ground. We know when we listen to
01:22Tame Impala or Thundercat or that even if, yeah, even if everything sounds a bit different
01:29we can hear that we like the same things, that we pursue a bit the same goal in music and that
01:37that's very important at the end because you can be with like the best singer in the world
01:42try to make music if there's not like a common goal and a common sensitivity
01:49it's most likely not gonna produce anything good.
