03:44What an insane storm.
03:47So far on this road a couple miles and I've yet to see a single vehicle or plow or anything.
03:52But luckily the wind is keeping the snow, aside from the drifts, off the middle of the road.
03:57Visibility is pretty much 0% and I definitely have a newfound respect for the Donner Party.
04:03After just spending 30 to 40 minutes outside trying to get myself out of here in the freezing 18 degree wind.
04:10Update from the weather station in Timorac here on the mountain pass.
04:14They officially recorded 8 feet of snow in the last 30 hours.
04:18And up to 210 mile per hour winds.
04:21Which would be an all time California record for wind speed.
04:25And I'll have to look into it, but possibly a record for most snowfall ever in a single day in March.
04:31With the insane winds it drifted around like crazy.
04:34So luckily it wasn't the end of the world to beat myself out.
04:38But what a generational storm.
04:44There was no snow at all at this altitude when I drove up here two days ago.
