00:00You think you could fit in there?
00:01I'm not doing that.
00:02Then what am I going to wear to our wedding?
00:04My black funeral suit?
00:05Is that the tone you want to set?
00:06Welcome to Ms Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks
00:10for the best couples from situational comedies that never fail to make us laugh.
00:16Oh no.
00:19Number 10.
00:20Fran Fine and Maxwell Sheffield.
00:22The nanny.
00:23Hi, I'm Fran Fine.
00:24These two might not get off on the best foot,
00:27as it's clear from the beginning that they hail from completely different worlds.
00:30Fran is a spunky girl from Flushing who dresses brightly,
00:34speaks her mind, and is oblivious to the finer things in life.
00:37I could get you a deal.
00:39No, that's all right.
00:40Mr Sheffield is a high-class Broadway producer,
00:43living with his three children and his butler.
00:46Their opposing dynamics cause many a mishap throughout the show.
00:49You're fired.
00:50And their rollercoaster relationship is equal parts hilarious and endearing.
00:55Mr Sheffield, what are you doing?
00:57We're thrilled that they end up together, bringing their opposing worlds together,
01:01and creating a life together that we're sure is full of many, many laughs.
01:06I love you, my darling.
01:08I love you.
01:11Number 9.
01:12Raymond Holt and Kevin Costner.
01:15Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
01:16Raymond.
01:17I can't hear you. Kevin, you're dead.
01:19This show has endless amounts of funny characters, and thus many funny couples.
01:24Jake and Amy are the epitome of opposites attracting.
01:27Wow, stabbed in the back by my own mom.
01:29What?
01:29Wife! I said wife! Why do you keep not hearing me?
01:32And Charles and Gina's short-lived romance is a barrel of laughs.
01:38But it's the relationship between Captain Holt and his husband,
01:41Kevin, that leaves us rolling in the aisles.
01:47This way.
01:48We can't imagine a couple with more in common, as they both have dry, blunt,
01:52formal personalities, and an appreciation for the finer, borderline pretentious things in life.
01:58Someone took our fluffy boy.
02:00Their quirks, interests, and abilities to persevere through hard times are
02:04perfectly balanced in their relationship. And we don't blame Jake for wishing they were his dads.
02:10Give me two hours at the library to work on my book. Just two hours. It will make
02:13all the difference.
02:14Yeah, I could go with him. Keep him safe.
02:15No library. Shame his men could be lurking in the stacks.
02:18I find that unlikely.
02:19I understand, but I disagree.
02:20Well then, we are in disagreement. You'll have to excuse me.
02:24Number 8. April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer. Parks and Recreation.
02:29You are all officially invited to a dinner party. 7 p.m. tonight at our home.
02:35Which is officially my friend Burleigh's home, because I don't have a home.
02:38While some couples have obvious chemistry because they have so much in common,
02:43Now you find somebody you like and you roll the dice.
02:46some could not have more opposing personalities.
02:49Oh my God.
02:50April is cold and cynical, showing almost no emotion throughout most of her time on the show.
02:55Andy, on the other hand, is expressive and joyful, with a childlike innocence and wonder.
03:00April.
03:02Girl talk.
03:03But somehow, they work together perfectly.
03:06Oh my God.
03:07What do you think?
03:08You're not supposed to let me see you.
03:09No, come on. You have to look. This is important. You have to tell me if I look good.
03:12They have totally different senses of humor,
03:15but they always keep each other's spirits up with their jokes.
03:18And their unconventional approach to their relationship keeps them on their toes.
03:23We love watching them grow as a couple, and we can only imagine how their kids will turn out.
03:28Maybe we need a revival to find out.
03:31I guess I kind of hate most things, but I never really seemed to hate you.
03:38So I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Is that cool?
03:42Yes.
03:42Number seven.
03:43Morticia and Gomez Adams.
03:46The Adams family.
03:48They're all together ooky, but it's their kookiness that keeps them laughing,
03:52and we're right there with them.
04:03Morticia and Gomez are the heads of the Adams family.
04:06Morticia.
04:08Gomez.
04:09And their gothic style and dark-humored family proves so much fun to watch.
04:14What a spring dog!
04:18That settles it. No more school.
04:20Good thinking, sir.
04:21Even though they've been married for several years,
04:24it's clear that the passion between these two has not dwindled,
04:27as they still flirt and have fun like they're newlyweds.
04:36And then he takes poison, and then she takes poison,
04:40and they both die happily ever after.
04:42While they may not quite fit in with the rest of the world,
04:45it's clear that they are a perfectly spooky fit for one another,
04:49and we love watching them grow as a hilarious couple and family on this sitcom.
04:54Morticia, that mad music sets my warrior blood on fire.
04:59Gomez's son, my mongrel chieftain.
05:02That's mongol.
05:04Number six.
05:05Lily Aldrin and Marshall Erickson, How I Met Your Mother.
05:08Oh, lobster, lobster, lobster, you are delicious.
05:11Oh, God, I love butter sauce. There's nothing bad about it.
05:15Who else but Marshmello and Lily Pad?
05:18I'm a New Yorker. I'm not gonna let this change me.
05:21I've changed!
05:22With their adorable nickname, story of how they met, and relationship quips,
05:27these two have always been couple goals.
05:29But the main reason that I love you is that you're my best friend, Lily.
05:34You're the best friend that I've ever had.
05:37I'm sorry, buddy.
05:38No problem. It's totally okay.
05:40Although these characters are hilarious as individuals,
05:43their comedic genius shines when they're together.
05:46Lily is the more grounded of the two, while Marshall has his head in the clouds,
05:50and it works out well for them as they work hard to keep their relationship balanced and on track,
05:56right from their botched engagement celebration to their chaotic wedding.
05:59I'm not wearing my wedding underwear.
06:01What? No property of Marshall across the back? How are people gonna know whose butt that is?
06:06How come?
06:07All the way to their parenting struggles, Halloween costumes,
06:10and codependency, they make us laugh almost as much as they make each other laugh.
06:16It's just a great use of the pause function, baby.
06:18Thank you.
06:20Number five, Kitty and Red Foreman, that 70s show.
06:24Everybody in their living room.
06:26You're gonna get it, you.
06:30Mr. and Mrs. Foreman are proof that relationships can stay light and fun,
06:34even years into marriage.
06:36Red's stern nature finds an exception in Kitty, as it's clear he has a soft spot for her,
06:41and her light-hearted humor keeps Red from putting his foot in everyone's ass.
06:46I don't want to go to a car show anymore, Kenosha.
06:49I want three more months with my baby boy.
06:52Three more f***ing months with my baby boy.
06:56Now they're gone because of your bulls***.
06:58Way to go, dumbass.
07:00Anyone who grew up in the 70s either knew or had a father like Red, and a mother like Kitty.
07:06They are ridiculously funny and nostalgic to watch.
07:09Between Kitty's laugh and Red's threats,
07:13there is no shortage of laughs when they're on the screen.
07:19You're dead, kid.
07:20And they give us hope for what a fun, loving, long-lasting marriage can look like.
07:25This dress says, look at me, notice me, stare at me.
07:31It's all wrong.
07:32You look terrific.
07:34Number four, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker, modern family.
07:39We have been together for five years now, and we just decided we really wanted to have a baby.
07:46So we had initially asked one of our lesbian friends to be a surrogate.
07:50Then we figured, they're already mean enough, can you imagine one of them pregnant?
07:54No thank you.
07:54There is no end to the funny moments between couples on this show.
07:58Jay and Gloria could not be more different,
08:01and when those differences are highlighted, it's hysterical.
08:04Come on, we're in the mall, let's get you like some younger clothes.
08:07There's a store there that I know.
08:08I don't need any younger clothes,
08:10and I don't care what some jackass in a pair of ripped jeans thinks about me.
08:14Claire and Phil are the couple that always keeps it fresh and light,
08:18and we love that about them.
08:19But I do like the idea of popcorn kernels in the pancake batter so they self-flip.
08:24Stop talking.
08:25Step away from the children.
08:26But Cam and Mitch's relationship is not only enviable and adorable,
08:31it's also laugh-out-loud funny.
08:33Sports guy, chess ball.
08:34No.
08:34Sports guy, chess ball.
08:35Cam.
08:35Oh, do it.
08:36Cam's one-liners, schemes, and personality,
08:39contrasted with Mitch's no-nonsense exterior,
08:42make for some of the funnier moments on the show.
08:44Time for girls' day.
08:46We've always tried to make sure that Lily has a feminine influence in her life.
08:50Because I'm sure it is so difficult for her to be around so much masculine energy all the time.
08:56We would love to have them as part of our modern family,
08:59even if it's just so we could experience the most epic baby reveal of all time.
09:08We adopted a baby.
09:10Her name is Lily.
09:11Oh, exciting.
09:13Just turn it off.
09:15I can't turn it off.
09:16It's who I am.
09:17Number three, Louise and George Jefferson.
09:20The Jeffersons.
09:21George, this is Diane Stockwell.
09:24Diane, this is my husband, George.
09:26If you're the Avon lady, I think it's too late.
09:30They may have moved on up,
09:31but their relationship stays where it's always been, lovable, but totally comical.
09:41Much like their old neighbors, the Bunkers,
09:44the matriarch of this family is the level-headed one,
09:47while the patriarch has the much larger outspoken personality,
09:51and they both play their roles perfectly.
09:54We don't need a piano.
09:55Sure we do. See, Weezy, that's your trouble.
09:57You don't have any sense of values.
10:00The important thing is not to be able to play it, it's to be able to afford it.
10:04Their banter is hilarious, and the comedic timing between one another is flawless,
10:09especially after spending 11 seasons playing husband and wife.
10:12Their marriage is full of fun and laughter,
10:15even as they sometimes deal with difficult topics, and it's truly something to be admired.
10:20Who wouldn't pose like that for a million dollars?
10:23They'd never pay you a million dollars.
10:24Everyone hopes that their relationship can stay this playful as the years go on,
10:28and George and Louise give us hope that that can happen.
10:32I hope all this has taught you a lesson, too, George.
10:35It sure has.
10:36Good.
10:36The next time I buy Lionel a watch, it'll be a Timex.
10:40Number 2. Monica Geller and Chandler Bing.
10:43Friends.
10:44I know I love you.
10:45I know I love you.
10:47Could they be any cuter?
10:49We love Monica and Chandler, and it's not just because of their friendship-to-lovers story arc,
10:55their iconic proposal, or their undying support for one another.
10:59It's a definite sign that we should get married.
11:01All right, 8 we get married, but 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, we don't get married.
11:08Sounds great.
11:09It's also because, like any good sitcom couple,
11:12they keep us laughing through the good times and the bad.
11:15Watching them hide their relationship from their friends led to so many laughable situations.
11:20Are you okay? I'm so sorry. He wouldn't leave. He kept asking me if I wanted chicken.
11:25Chicken?
11:25In their marriage, even as they struggle with career changes,
11:28infertility, and moving to the suburbs, they find a way to keep each other smiling.
11:33Live together? There've been no signs for that.
11:38Me asking is kind of a sign.
11:45Yes, yes, yes!
11:48Chandler is one of the funniest characters in sitcom history,
11:52so combine him with Monica's chaotic energy, and you've got a perfectly hilarious couple.
11:58Well, let's get married, I guess.
12:00That wasn't a hard eight. Last night, I rolled a hard eight.
12:03That's right, it was the wrong kind of eight. No wedding, damn it!
12:06Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
12:10Peg and Al Bundy. Married with children.
12:13Their humor is dark, and they're more sarcastic than not, but they're also in love.
12:18I was just thinking we could spend some time together.
12:25Vivian and Philip Banks. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
12:30A couple that Will, Carlton, and all of us can look up to.
12:33Did you ask your wife to calm down?
12:35Calm yourself, Barney Fife!
12:37Vivian, please. Now, officers, I'm sure we can clear this whole matter up quite easily.
12:42Would you please sit down? We're busy now.
12:44Oh, honey, we're about to get very busy.
12:46David Rose and Patrick Brewer.
12:49Schitt's Creek. They balance each other out,
12:51they keep us in stitches, and they're simply the best.
12:54You had mentioned that you'd always pictured yourself having a kid.
12:58You've never pictured yourself doing something that didn't end up happening?
13:01Of course, I'm not married to Christina Aguilera, am I?
13:03Carrie and Doug Heffernan. The King of Queens.
13:07Their opposite personalities lead to some humorous situations.
13:11What would be better than having some help around here?
13:14A speedboat!
13:15Holly Flax and Michael Scott. The Office.
13:18It's a miracle that Michael found his match, and Holly is definitely it.
13:22Why is it such a certainty that we're supposed to be together?
13:25Why does the sun rise in the morning? Why do magnets stick together? Because everybody says so.

13:46Number 1. Lucy and Ricky Ricardo. I love Lucy.
13:51Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo is the OG funny gal, and she isn't afraid to show it.
13:57Alongside her real-life husband-turned-ex-husband,
14:00she finds herself in some seriously comedic situations with him by her side.
14:04Lucy's humor is physical, Ricky's is more subtle,
14:12and they have an enviable dynamic.
14:14Why didn't you tell me?
14:15Well, you didn't give me a chance.
14:17Are you kidding me?
14:18No.
14:19It's me!
14:22I'm gonna be a father!
14:23Ricky is able to bring Lucy back down to earth when she's spiraling out of control,
14:28and Lucy might push Ricky's buttons from time to time, but she keeps him laughing.
14:32Hey, I didn't give Butch anything. Here you are, Butch.
14:37Aren't you gonna thank me?
14:40Their comedic approaches are totally different, but work together perfectly to keep audiences
14:45in stitches no matter what their preferred type of comedy is.
14:49And that's the amusing magic of the Ricardos.
14:52I'm the queen of Delancey Street.
14:55When I start to dance, everything goes chick chicky boom chick chicky boom.
15:01Which sitcom couple has you rolling in the aisles? Let us know in the comments.
15:06I'm so glad you're here. I get us into these situations,
15:08and I freak, and then you always fix the problem.
15:10Well, no, we each have our own gifts. It's just,
15:13it's easier for me to stay calm in the face of... Oh my God!
