00:00Welcome to our Central Highlands Football League Round 11 edition of Friday Footy Frenzy.
00:06Brought to you by Sheds and Shades by Design.
00:09We welcome them on board this season for all our Central Highlands Football League coverage.
00:14What a round in prospect we have on Saturday.
00:17The big one between the top two teams.
00:19Dalesford, the SN1 at the moment, against Bungaree, the Premiership favourites.
00:24Now Bungaree, they're still considered by most as the team to beat and rightly so.
00:29But Dalesford, what a season they've had so far.
00:32They've come from a long way back, very much like Cardamom Linton of last season.
00:37And with the one loss, well, who can fault what they've done.
00:41These two sides are the only ones that I'm prepared to say right now are locked in for finals.
00:47There's a lot that can happen over the remaining seven rounds that we've got left.
00:51And there's a lot of shuffling and the like to go.
00:54Still ten teams in the finals race.
00:57Ten don't go into weight, so there's a lot to play out.
01:00But these two teams, for the moment, they're battling for top.
01:03And it promises to be a big game at Dalesford.
01:07I'll be there covering it on our live stream.
01:10So if you can't get to Dalesford, certainly tune in on our website.
01:14I'm going for Bungaree.
01:15I think they can regain top spot and confirm their Premiership favourites.
01:20So for me, it's the Demons against the Bulldogs.
01:25Let's run through the rest of the games in Round 11.
01:28Another big game between Newland and Dunstown.
01:31Newland coming off a last-game loss.
01:35A surprising defeat at the hands of Roquette Corendap.
01:37They're still third, but that one loss has just tightened their situation up.
01:42And they're far from consolidated in the top four.
01:46And they're up against Dunstown, which are on a roll at the moment.
01:48They've had to work harder after a slow start to the season.
01:51So this is a game that could go either way.
01:53Dunstown, they've worked their way into the top eight in recent weeks.
01:56And they're going to stay there because I think the Towners can inflict another loss over the Cats.
02:02So at Newland, it's the visitors for me, Dunstown.
02:05Another big game in this Round 11 of football is Hepburn and Learmonth.
02:11Two other sides in that big battle for the top eight.
02:14They're at the bottom end of it.
02:15We've got Learmonth.
02:16There's still a couple of spots outside the top eight.
02:19But they can get a win here.
02:20They're right in the fight.
02:22And they're certainly well in contention.
02:24Hepburn, they've been in and out of the top eight in recent weeks.
02:27They need a win here just to further consolidate.
02:30Because they were my selection for the Premiership at the start of the season.
02:33And they've come up well short of expectations.
02:35They've done it pretty hard.
02:37They've still got the players who really threaten and challenge before the season's out.
02:41And they need this win.
02:42I think the Boroughs get home against Slakies.
02:46But I'll tell you what, surprise is not out of the question.
02:50Quickly running through the rest.
02:51I expect Bunning Yonge to bounce back from two losses at home to beat Creswick.
02:56Warbra, they're at home to Cardamom Linton.
02:58Both sides coming off last start wins.
03:00I think Cardamom Linton keep their season going along strongly in the top eight.
03:04The Saints get it there.
03:06Skipton are up against the disappointing Springbank,
03:09who just can't take a trick this season.
03:11They're well down the table.
03:12Skipton, they've lost their last couple by less than a kick.
03:15And I think they'll get back on course this week, the Emus.
03:19Gordon, the reigning Premier, up against Clunes.
03:23The Eagles quite easily there.
03:25And in our last game, Beaufort at home to Roeckwood Corandap.
03:28Roeckwood Corandap, of course, just in the last couple of days,
03:31announcing new joint coaches for next season.
03:34So already looking ahead.
03:36I think they've done too much damage to themselves to make the finals.
03:39But they can certainly keep a good vein of form going at the moment.
03:43And they'll have another win over Beaufort.
03:45So that's Round 11 in the Central Highlands Football League.
03:48Plenty of interest, particularly around the top of the table
03:51and right through the top eight.
03:54Things shuffled last week.
03:55Only Newland stayed in the same spot.
03:58And we could see a similar scenario on Saturday.
04:01So, from this edition of Friday Footy Frenzy,
04:04brought to you by Sheds and Shades by Design,
04:07I'm David Brio, signing off.
