00:00Computer Science videos here today to show you guys in this tutorial how to

00:05add the utilities folder to the finder sidebar on a Mac computer. Without further

00:10ado let us start the video. So in this tutorial you need to have access to a

00:14Mac computer be able to use a keyboard shortcut to access the folder that you

00:19may not be able to see when you are in finder however we can now go all the way

00:23down to the top go to finder and you must be thinking where is utilities I

00:29cannot see it on screen it's not part of the favorites within the sidebar in

00:35finder we can go to the top navigation menu toolbar click on go click on

00:43utilities and that takes us to the utilities folder which is located in

00:48applications so let's go back one directory and there we have utilities

00:53and now we can either right-click or we can move the folder itself to the

01:01sidebar and look what happens if you hover over whatever's within the sidebar

01:11this will just place the folder there so that's not what we are trying to do here

01:14when you see the dot or the circle with a line going through it let's just click

01:22on that or release the folder and there you go utilities is now a part of the

01:29sidebar within finder so we can now quit finder for the moment go all the way

01:33down to the dock again go to finder and there we have utilities which can be

01:38moved up and down if we require that let's just keep it the way it is and so
