A real-life Supergran became the UK’s first female wheelchair user to ‘climb’ the Three Peaks for charity.

Mary Lamb, 65, suffered a chest infection, stomach bug and was ‘10 minutes away from hypothermia’ during the gruelling three-day challenge.

But she battled through it to reach the summit of all three mountains - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - with the help of the British Army and her assistance dog Sheldon.

00:06All the kids call me Super Gran because they know I'm nutty.

00:12Not afraid to go and give anything a go.
00:14Skoda have been wonderful and given us the car to come and do this challenge
00:18which is just amazing.

00:48What does this challenge mean to me?
00:51It means raising awareness of Dogs for Good,
00:54hopefully raising an awful lot of money
00:57to get a lot of money you've got to do a big challenge
01:00and this is it, I couldn't do anything bigger.
01:04Be the first lady in a wheelchair to complete this.
01:07Well that's, it'll be good but the main focus is the charity.
01:16We're about halfway up.
01:20The terrain is really tough.
01:23I will be so happy when I get to the top.
01:58I am so chuffed, I am battered and bruised
02:02but it's worth it, it's worth it because I've done it.
