00:00Today we are dealing with an off-road game, which we are organizing on the grounds of the Polish Center for Technology, the Pracze Campus.
00:07As you can see, we have a lot of space.
00:10We want our participants to relax thanks to this off-road game,
00:19and at the same time solve interesting riddles related to the history of this place, but also riddles related to science.
00:27Our main task is to popularize science within STEM,
00:32which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
00:38These are the fields of study that we deal with here in the Port on a daily basis.
00:43A very important role is that the off-road game that we are carrying out today
00:50is part of the tasks that we carry out together with the entire Łukasiewicz Center.
00:56This form of activity is also carried out in other institutes throughout Poland.
01:03The Łukasiewicz Center is an institution that also cares about the popularization of science within STEM,
01:14which is widespread throughout Poland.
01:18Today's off-road game is one of the major parts of this activity,
01:24which is organized here thanks to the tasks of the Łukasiewicz Center.
01:29This is one of the first initiatives, maybe not the first,
01:32because it is worth mentioning that we organized picnics here,
01:36and we organize family scientific picnics,
01:39during which we talk about science in a popular form,
01:44adapted to the whole family, from children to parents.
01:49We talk about how science is important in our daily lives,
01:52and by the way, we can spend some time talking to each other.
01:56This is also a very interesting place,
01:58thanks to which, especially residents of the surrounding settlements,
02:02have a chance to spend some time, talk to each other, just get to know each other.
02:07There are roughly over 200 volunteers today.
02:10We have nearly 60 teams that solve puzzles.
02:15These teams are currently circling our campus.
02:19We have a few zones.
02:21In these zones, teams are waiting for specially prepared cards,
02:27which can be opened after solving a puzzle.
02:31The cards contain stickers that indicate that this place has been visited.
02:36And with such a map with stickers from all zones,
02:40you have to register after the game is over.
02:44And the end of the game is also a reward from us,
02:49which is also related to the popularization of science.
02:53We assume that solving all the puzzles and completing the game for one team
02:59is from 60 to 90 minutes,
03:02i.e. from an hour to an hour and a half,
03:05one group should deal with our sentences.
03:09Teams start every half an hour,
03:12and a total of 60 teams have puzzles to solve here.
03:16The entries were made online.
03:19We were very pleased with the interest.
03:21Virtually all the free groups that we had were taken.
03:26We even have a situation that people from outside of these groups come here.
03:32Of course, we are also trying to accept them here,
03:35so we are happy.
03:36We hope that this will be a good time for all participants.
