00:00So we're here in Telford, Hadley, that's right isn't it Hadley, at the Elam Church
00:05and who do you ladies represent? TARC, so that's Telford African and Afro-Caribbean Resource Centre.
00:12Bit of a special day today, the pop-up gives it away, what's been happening today then?
00:16It's absolutely special because as a charity this is our sixth year since we were formed
00:24and it's the 76th anniversary since the arrival of the ship Empire Windrush on the 22nd of June 1948
00:35and we're pleased that we have members of the Windrush community who came here when they
00:40were much younger and we're celebrating with them today. We have food of the Caribbean,
00:47live music, earlier we had the Steel Band playing and right now they're enjoying a session of bingo.
00:55We commemorate them, we celebrate them, we're standing on the shoulders of giants today.
01:02And I'm very fortunate that I'm here with my mother and my auntie and
01:06other members of the community so I feel really blessed about that.
01:47This next song is for everybody here.
