00:00Today, Telstra is announcing that we're delivering 12,000 complimentary phones to some of our
00:09most disadvantaged elderly and remote customers to help them with the 3G shutdown transition.
00:15We've selected customers who are in difficult situations.
00:17So that might mean financial hardship, a medical life-threatening condition, elderly, or live
00:23a long way from store, which makes it hard to get the latest of us.
00:27These customers that we've selected, we'll be reaching out to them proactively.
00:30They'll get the device in the mail, they'll get a charger, and they'll get instructions
00:34how to move their SIM card from the old device to the new device.
00:37We're also sending them similar devices that they're used to.
00:40So if you use a flip phone, we'll send you a flip phone to make that transition easy.
00:44If you're not sure if you're going to be impacted by the 3G shutdown, there's a few ways you
00:48can find out.
00:49If you make a call from an impacted device, a pre-recorded message will play letting you
00:53know you're impacted.
00:54Or you can text 3 to 3498 and we'll send you an SMS back letting you know if you're impacted.
01:00Or go online, come into store, give us a call, we're here to help.
