00:00So I'm now entering the Iron Muram in Derby and the first thing that hits you is this established
00:081884 tile sign which I've been told has been originally from the bank. It was unearthed
00:17during the refurb and it's just really pretty to look at. Looking around the pub there are
00:24several large TV screens. The decor is really pretty, really grown up, really elegant
00:33and the views. So if you wanted people to watch you could from the tables,
00:38grab a coffee or cocktail, whatever floats your boat. The pub is due to open tomorrow so
00:47please excuse the couple of bags around. As you can see there are the pillars.
00:55They have, I've been told, been spread out to expand the space and I think it's really
01:03pretty because if you go to the bar area here you can see the glasses, glassware hanging down
01:11and greenery festooned and hanging above the bar. The LED signage is really fun, it's funky,
01:21gets you talking. I think there's a hat tip to anthems so this one is, did your boots stop
01:27working? I'm taking a sneak peek at the cocktails menu which is sweetly titled Cocktails and Dreams.
01:36It's a fun menu and there's Jessica Rabbit, there's Chummy Hendrix and a personal favourite
01:47to be I think is the Bubblegum Mojito. Continuing the theme with the fun, funky LED signage,
01:56this one here says What's Your Poison? It's a really well stocked bar. I love how it's been
02:05kitted out and again like I mentioned earlier there are greenery, plants festooned. It just
02:13looks like a really lovely place to hang out. I wouldn't actually mind queuing at the bar,
02:19I hate queues as well so this says something when I actually want to hang out at the bar and just
02:22maybe pop the bar up. There is plenty of seating. I know I've mentioned the stools and the bar
02:30seating but this is just like a lovely hexagon and mustard embossed seating. It's so pretty.
02:40Walking towards the rear of the pub there are dartboards, again more TVs,
02:50more greenery. It's just a lovely fun space to be and for people who might want to
02:59know more about history about the pub this is about the Iron Ram and the Mercian and the mascot
03:06how it's been amalgamated into the Iron Ram. I know there's buckets around but this just shows
03:17the pub is gearing up for a big big reopening tomorrow and this is right at the back so this
03:25is the rear of the pub. This mirror it looks like a giant mobile phone and again I love how
03:36they've got pretty artwork sitting nicely harmoniously even against the large TV screens.
03:48Artwork around dotted around the pub. It's fun, it's funky, I think it's a talking point more than
03:53anything and it breaks up the space as well. I am now upstairs on the first floor of the Iron Ram.
04:03The theme is continued from downstairs. It's elegant, it's grown up, it's fun.
04:09They have emblazoned logos and LED. This one is of the Iron Ram and says is this the real life?
04:17Is this just fantasy? Which we all know is familiar tune. So looking around the even the
04:27light fittings fixtures are really really cool and elegant. Walking around the first floor,
04:35brand new carpets by the way, there's a shuffleboard and again the LED
04:43fun funky logos continue throughout. I love the lovely wooden polished panel decor.
04:54There are also interactive dartboards which I think could be great fun for
05:01parties and gatherings. Here's another fun funky LED signage. I must point out the lights,
05:11they're gold. They also have almost have an art deco feel and again this is from downstairs and
05:19upstairs. It just feels like really pretty, really grown up. Even the decor, even the
05:26stools, bar stools and the seating and there seems to be which feels like velvet of a law.
05:34There's a theme of teal, midnight blues, gold, gold beading as you can see.
05:42Lovely fresh polished wood, yes I love polished wood and looking out the window and these are
05:48tables with a view. So you can, there's a table here as you can see and then you can peer out
05:56the window and see Derby people enjoying life. There are plenty of green plants, green fronds
06:08festooned from the bar. This is just one little alcove upstairs. It kind of feels
06:15even more welcoming I think. It's like a hint of nature and yeah it's a lovely place to be.
