00:00Hello there. An area of low pressure will be located to the west of the UK and will
00:05dominate the weather across the next few days. It'll be fairly cloudy on Thursday and a band
00:09of rain will push in from the west, bringing some heavy bursts to Northern Ireland, Wales
00:13and Western England. This band of rain will then push northwards and eastwards during
00:18the day, but it will turn increasingly light and patchy across England and Wales, and the
00:22far south-east of England should escape largely dry. Rain though will be heavy across Scotland
00:28and it'll be a fairly breezy day as with that rain it does bring some brisk winds and
00:32there's even a threat of gales for the Irish Sea. Rain will continue to push northwards
00:37and eastwards overnight, remaining heavy at times for Scotland. Largely dry though further
00:42south and it will be a mild night, especially compared to those of late. On Friday morning,
00:48rain across northern Scotland will clear northwards. It will be fairly blustery and breezy to start
00:52the day here too though, with some brisk or even strong easterly winds. The winds will
00:56tend to ease during the day and further south we're looking at some gentle southerly breezes.
01:01It'll be a brighter day on Friday with some sunny spells, but a scattering of showers
01:05will also develop and some of these will be locally heavy and thundery. There's even some
01:09similar conditions as we look ahead into the weekend, so we'll have a mixture of sunny
01:12spells and scattered showers. Again, some of these showers could be heavy, bringing
01:16some rumbles of thunder. Feeling a little bit mild in the sunshine too, especially if
01:20you do escape those showers, but it will feel pretty chilly for June overall as temperatures
01:26remain below the average.
