Watch: Emmanuel College footballer Sam Carter after SSV semi-final win
Transcript
00:00 Thanks for joining us Sam. We're here at Reed Oval College. You've just won through to the SSV Grand Final. How are you feeling?
00:06 I'm feeling good. The lads played well so I'm keen to get into the granny in a couple of weeks time.
00:11 In your own role you played at a cross half back today. How did you find your game?
00:15 I found I played alright. It's a bit of a different role to local footy but I'm just trying to play for the team and do my role.
00:22 It was a big comprehensive win today against Cedar. Was there any team mates you thought really stood out?
00:27 I thought Charlie McKinnon and Eamon Radley up forward were pretty strong and Olly Myers through the midfield.
00:32 Even Leo Allerton down back with me was pretty good.
00:35 You played last year in the Grand Final. Unfortunately you lost that day. What's driving you guys to go that one step better?
00:42 We all just want to win. We've got a good group of lads so hopefully we can go all the way.
00:49 You're playing club football for Warrnambool. You've played a bit of seniors already. How's your career going in the Hampton League?
00:56 It's going not too bad this year. We're sitting 8-1, second on the ladder I think. Hopefully we can push for some senior selection in the next couple of weeks.
01:05 What role are you playing for the Blues?
01:07 I play in the midfield and switch down forward a bit.
01:10 Thanks very much for standing. Good luck.
01:12 Thank you. Cheers for that.
01:13 Cheers.
