00:00Cartoons are real universes of colors and crazy ideas.
00:05But if you look at them carefully, you will see that strange things are happening.
00:10Take the inexplicable anatomy of Michat Michien or the food disorder that reigns at Bikini Bottom.
00:18Today, we are going to dive into these little secrets that you were too naive to see when you were children.
00:24Let's be realistic, the cartoon Michat Michien is weird.
00:29I have so many questions. For example, why do our peers spend all this time in each other's mouths?
00:35Or how do they go to the bathroom?
00:37Now that I think about it, maybe we don't really want to know.
00:41Anyway, the question that really drives me crazy is the following.
00:45Where do they come from?
00:47If you consult the fan forums, you will find the mention of an episode entitled Michat Michien and the mystery of the grandparents.
00:54In this episode, the show tries to clarify the question by suggesting that the characters were adopted and raised by a frog father and a Bigfoot mother.
01:03But who gave them to the world?
01:05It is impossible to explain who gave birth to Michat Michien.
01:08Because they are Siamese twins, which means they must have the same biological parents.
01:13However, they are two different species.
01:16If you did not follow in the course of bio, let me tell you that cats and dogs cannot reproduce.
01:22It is impossible. So they can only be the result of a dark laboratory experiment.
01:27We can recognize the characters of the Simpsons from miles away, thanks to their crazy hair, their globular eyes and their yellow skin.
01:34But why yellow? Why not green, blue? Or, I don't know, weightless?
01:39This emblematic color was not chosen by chance.
01:43The yellow color is frank and vivid, and we remember it easily.
01:48This is why the creators chose it. They wanted their characters to be recognizable to everyone.
01:54And they succeeded.
01:56But there is also a practical reason.
01:58Take a closer look at Bart, Lisa and Maggie, and you will see that no line separates their skin from their hair.
02:05The designers said that yellow would be suitable for both hair and skin.
02:10It is at the frontier of genius and laziness, if you want my opinion.
02:15Scooby-Doo is not an ordinary dog who likes to sniff clues.
02:19He probably has his own little secret.
02:22Since he appeared on the screen at the end of the 60s, yes, Scooby-Doo has existed for longer than the avocado toasts.
02:29This dog has become an icon of pop culture, appearing in lots of series, movies and derivative products.
02:36One of the most interesting twists occurred in the 2010 derivative series called Scooby-Doo Associated Mysteries,
02:44where we reveal that Scooby-Doo is actually an Anunnaki.
02:48No, not an Anunnaki. But wait, what is it exactly?
02:52If you search the internet, you will discover that Anunnaki are entities of Mesopotamian mythology,
02:58supposed to determine the fate of human beings.
03:01Great. So, a dog is in charge of our fate.
03:05Nothing to complain about.
03:07But according to the series, Anunnaki are an extraterrestrial race, of which some individuals love humans,
03:13while others want to destroy our planet.
03:16Again, nothing bad.
03:19You are probably wondering how this could have happened.
03:23In the derivative series, we learn that during a cosmic event known as Nibiru,
03:28these Anunnakis flirt between dimensions to dress the body of terrestrial animals,
03:33being themselves devoid of physical form.
03:36And guess who is one of these hosts?
03:39Yes, Scooby-Doo himself!
03:42Our favorite alien?
03:44Ok, but an alien who really loves dog treats, and who, let's hope, is on the right side.
03:51We all remember Nemo's world, unless you don't have Dory's memory.
03:55It's super cute, but if the creators had adhered to the rules of nature,
04:00this animated film would not really be made for the whole family.
04:03It's the least we can say.
04:06In real life, clown fish, like Nemo and his parents, are sequential hermaphrodites.
04:12This means that they can be born male and become female if necessary
04:17to maintain the balance of the population within their social group.
04:21In other words, they can change sex to reproduce.
04:25Now that you know that, let me explain to you how Nemo's world would really unfold
04:30according to the laws of nature.
04:33Nemo is the only survivor after the arrival of a barracuda that devoured his mother,
04:38and all his precious eggs do not hatch.
04:42In reality, when Nemo is born, his father, Marlin, would only have one possibility,
04:48become a mother.
04:50Let's call her Marlin to illustrate our point.
04:53But here's the real surprise.
04:55Once Nemo has grown up and become an adult fish, Marlin must suggest the unthinkable to him.
05:01It's time for our two clown fish to have their own offspring.
05:06Indeed, in nature, Nemo's father would become his mother, and then accompany him.
05:11Oh la la, oh!
05:14Even the series Hey Arnold! is subject to obscure theories,
05:18and one of them rewrites practically the entire story of the series.
05:22The cartoon fails to give us a convincing explanation
05:26about what happened to the parents of Arnold, Miles and Stella.
05:30The story of their disappearance is far too vague.
05:33They would have gone on a humanitarian mission to San Lorenzo
05:36to cure the population of a sleep disease,
05:39and they would never have been seen again.
05:42A theory therefore suggests that his grandparents, Phil and Gertie,
05:46could be his real parents.
05:48As they had him at an advanced age,
05:50Arnold was born with some health problems, such as hydrocephaly.
05:54This could explain why he has a football head,
05:57as Elga constantly reminds us.
06:00He was therefore a lonely and unfriendly child.
06:03Thus, all the characters in the series, such as Eugene, Harold and Stinky,
06:07could only be born as a result of his imagination.
06:10If you pay attention to it, they all have a weird head.
06:14Perhaps Arnold imagined them in this way in order to feel accepted?
06:18Deep, isn't it?
06:20This theory could also explain the origin of the character's name,
06:24given that there is a form of hydrocephaly called Arnold-Chiari malformation.
06:29All this is intriguing, no doubt about it.
06:32But the fans finally got the answer they were hoping for,
06:35with Hey Arnold! Mission Jungle, in 2017.
06:39The film ends the biggest mystery of the series,
06:42by revealing that Arnold's parents were actually alive from the beginning.
06:46During the humanitarian mission I mentioned earlier,
06:49his parents were victims of a sleep disorder,
06:52which plunged them into a long coma.
06:54I guess it's a happy ending, but it's still quite dark.
06:58Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
07:00Bob the Sponge!
07:02You've probably sung these words a million times,
07:05without ever wondering why he lives in a pineapple.
07:08The explanation is quite simple.
07:10Bob the Sponge's universe is mainly inspired by Polynesian culture,
07:15and pineapples are an important motif.
07:19But what about Carlo Tentacule's house?
07:22From the outside, it looks like one of the heads of Easter Island,
07:26but in a revised and corrected style, with a door in place of the mouth.
07:30In reality, we have discovered that these Chilean sculptures
07:33are equipped with torsos buried in the ground.
07:36This means that Carlo Tentacule's house
07:38could also be above a huge body hidden underground.
07:42But the way this huge head ended up under the sea
07:45remains a mystery.
07:47Everything is not dark at Bikini Bottom,
07:50but the crispy crab, the city's most popular fast food,
07:53could well be hiding a heavy secret.
07:56It is designed on the model of a crab box.
07:59Yes, you heard right.
08:01And with the rumors circulating about the secret recipe for crab pâté,
08:05let's say I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Krabs served real crab meat.
08:10Would that make him a cannibal?
