00:00In spite of the hot attention between the Philippines and China in the West Philippine Sea,

00:05President Bongbong Marcos made it clear that there will be no war,

00:08but only defense will be done by the people.

00:11Ivan Mayrina is on the spot.

00:17The incidents of the Chinese Coast Guard harassing the Filipinos,

00:21the fishermen, the Coast Guard, or the soldiers in the West Philippine Sea,

00:25in front of the last Tenth Infantry Division in Mawabdabao de Oro,

00:30the President said that now the threats are weakening from the enemies of the government within the country,

00:34such as the rebel terrorists.

00:36He said that we should pay attention to external threats or threats in the territory of the country.

00:41But it does not mean that the country will join the war,

00:44but only defense in our territory.

00:47The President's promise will give the armed forces the strength to use and train

00:51to ensure that they are capable enough to face new threats to our security.

00:58In the survey conducted by OCTA Research this March,

01:0076% or 3 out of 4 Filipinos saw China as the biggest threat to the Philippines.
