00:02 - Okay, so the Belmont is this weekend
00:07 and it's in Saratoga.
00:10 I don't think a lot, honestly, Jim,
00:11 I don't think a lot of people know that even now.
00:13 I don't think they do.
00:14 So DraftKings has a new brand strategy involved
00:19 with the Belmont Stakes.
00:21 You're not leaving the show without a pick, Jim.
00:24 You're not leaving here without one.
00:26 So tell us about the story.
00:28 And then when you hear my producer say 30 seconds,
00:31 that's the time for you to tell us
00:32 who's winning the Belmont on Saturday.
00:35 - All right, you got it, Craig.
00:37 So NYRA, the New York Racing Association and DraftKings
00:42 announced a partnership a handful of months ago
00:46 to have DK Horse, that horse betting app
00:49 for DraftKings sponsor one of the marquee stakes races
00:53 taking place on Friday
00:56 during that Belmont Stakes Racing Festival.
00:59 So that's one piece of it.
01:01 I was walking around the track yesterday evening
01:03 and saw the DraftKings and DK Horse logos
01:07 kind of plastered just about everywhere around the track.
01:12 And in talking to some people at DraftKings
01:15 over the last week,
01:16 they're really looking to really further
01:19 and deepen this partnership.
01:21 They'll be sponsoring a race later this summer at Saratoga,
01:24 the Traverse Stakes, the most popular race
01:27 in Saratoga during the summer.
01:29 So a heavy investment,
01:31 like I was just talking about a few minutes ago
01:33 from DraftKings into the horse betting marketplace.
01:38 And they're looking to appeal to some VIP customers.
01:41 They're also looking to appeal
01:44 to just the casual horse player.
01:47 They've been a big proponent of fixed odds.
01:49 So we'll see what comes of this.
01:51 But two years in a row that Naira and DraftKings
01:54 have struck up a partnership.
01:56 And for the race on Saturday,
01:59 I like Sierra Leone,
02:01 finished second in the Kentucky Derby.
02:03 Has had a good string of workouts for Chad Brown.
02:07 He's a morning line favorite, so kind of chalky,
02:09 but that's what I'm going with.
