00:00 I started following this great club in 1985.
00:03 We produced what I would say the best number seven I've ever seen at Edinburgh.
00:07 And I always remember him breaking into the first team and running out onto the pitch and I said to my mate,
00:14 "This kid's never going to make it."
00:16 You know, a little lad like that is never going to make a good enough rugby player to play for a club as big as this.
00:23 How wrong were I?
00:24 I think it just proved that, you know, follow your dreams, no matter where it takes you, just follow what you think is right.
00:35 We came to all games, found out about the Addy M&D that threw us off a bit.
00:42 But he's always been such a legend, he's a great dad and everything.
00:45 I've been following the story of Rob, very touched.
00:48 Myself and my wife have been all along really, with the marathons, the Kevin Sinfield.
00:55 Very sad because he was such a super guy and his family are marvellous.
01:00 I was quite lucky to live on the same street as Rob for a couple of years.
01:04 And I saw the deterioration in such a great man.
01:08 Cool, cool disease that nobody deserves.
01:12 Just to think that not only a few years ago he was ripping teams apart,
01:16 and then all of a sudden we're here to say goodbye to such a legend.
01:21 I remember Rob as a young boy when he first came to the club.
01:25 And obviously followed his career ever since then.
01:28 I used to talk to him when he was trying to get into the first team sort of thing.
01:32 He was always on fire and he always did loads of tries and he was a right player.
01:41 I'm here today just to give him one of my shirts.
01:44 He had his name and my dad used to play in the academy with him.
01:48 So I just thought I'd come and pay with my respects.
01:51 My fondest memory, and I'll take it with me when I go to my grave,
01:54 is the grand final try.
01:56 Greatest try ever scored in a grand final is an hero.
