00:24 Honestly, I really liked coming here.
00:27 I have been a swimmer since childhood.
00:30 And I felt really bad when I started
00:35 because I just thought that so much plastic
00:40 and there is so much dirt on the beach.
00:43 So you feel that no matter how much you do,
00:46 there is so much more to go.
00:48 There is a lot more to do.
00:51 But where do you start?
00:54 We have to start somewhere.
00:56 And I am genuinely so proud today
00:59 to be associated with Garnier.
01:01 Because of them I could come here today.
01:04 And the initiative that they have taken here
01:07 to clean up the beach, that is the most important
01:10 because everything can change with our intention.
01:14 And taking action on that intention
01:17 and then it gets better from there.
01:20 There are many beaches in India that are very clean.
01:27 I just think because we are so populated
01:31 and we just need to inculcate a culture
01:35 that we don't throw garbage.
01:37 Or if we are eating biscuits on the beach
01:41 then we don't just dispose the wrapper.
01:45 So I think we have to take this conscious decision
01:49 and treat it like our home.
01:53 Because if we are at home
01:55 then we don't just eat our wrapper biscuits
01:58 and throw it on the floor.
02:01 So I think that's important that we come out
02:04 and we should do what we do at home.
02:08 You know?
02:09 [Waves crashing]
02:38 I don't want to give so much advice.
02:41 I would say that what I have done in my life
02:47 for example, we think that small changes
02:52 don't make a big difference.
02:55 But I genuinely believe that if we start small
02:59 whatever it is, if you use tissue consciously
03:02 use bamboo toothbrush, don't use plastic
03:06 so it's the small things that matter.
03:08 And basic stuff like if we are going on a road trip
03:12 so for example, I always take a bag
03:16 the trash bag that I keep in the car.
03:19 So I always put my trash in that
03:23 and I don't throw it on the road.
03:24 So these are the small things that we can do.
03:27 And if you feel like someone has thrown something
03:31 just pick it up, you know, start with small things.
03:36 [Indistinct chatter]
04:00 I think the point is that
04:02 if we teach our children that
04:05 if it is a cultural thing that we have been brought up
04:08 that this is not what you should do.
04:10 Because habits are...
04:12 My parents never told me to do this or that
04:16 but I have done it after seeing them or not.
04:19 We always see our parents.
04:21 So I think it's good to be an example
04:23 and do it yourself because kids
04:26 do what their parents do.
04:29 So I think that's most important
04:31 teaching your child, doing it yourself
04:33 and that's where I would start.
04:35 I think with college or school.
04:37 I'm saying you can use recycled plastic
04:42 which has been repurposed.
04:44 And the bag, it's not like I have not held a plastic bag
04:50 but we can reuse that plastic bag.
04:54 That's the important thing, you know.
04:56 Not to just throw it away after using it once.
04:59 We should avoid that and try and keep reusing.
05:04 Ma'am.
05:05 It's very cold. Move aside.
05:14 I am very happy and proud also.
05:31 The initiative that Garnier has taken.
05:35 They are so conscious that whenever we go for a shoot
05:39 they use local hair and makeup
05:43 so that we don't have to fly many people
05:47 and carbon footprint.
05:48 So they pay a lot of attention to small things.
05:52 And I think that is the best part about them.
05:54 They are taking initiatives like the beach clean up.
05:56 They have a lot of products
05:59 100% recyclable product packaging.
06:05 They have 100% recyclable packaging.
06:08 So I think it's all these small things which are contributing
06:11 and then they are doing all these amazing activities
06:13 like the beach clean up.
06:15 Thank you.
06:16 Thank you.
06:17 Yes, yes. We will shift here.
06:19 Kooja ji.
06:20 Start.
06:22 Yeah, yeah.
06:27 Here, here.
06:28 Hey, mobile.
06:32 Yeah.
06:34 Kooja ji.
06:35 Kooja ji.
